MEDI-KIT: Smart Medicine Box

The first field wherein IoT is used to the fullest is the medical field. Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) fulfils the purpose of connecting all the medical devices in order to monitor day to day activities of the patients. A basic problem that exist with the patients is the forgetfulness of consuming medications at right time. A device called ‘MEDIKIT’ is developed which provides a better, assisted and independent living. It is a multipurpose, portable box which is connected to the cloud, wherein the medications details are stored for doctor’s reference and for future analysis. The box intimate the patients to take right medicines on right time with right dose using visual and voice alert. It also keeps the potency of the medicines by controlling the temperature and humidity as mentioned by the drug manufacturer. Secure Cloud storage is used to maintain the details which are directly assessed by the hospital or the doctor specifically. By this, doctors can remotely monitor the intake of medicines by the patients and further do analysis on the schedules.
