Library material preservation has always been a great concern for the librarians Termites are one of the major enemies of libraries. Controlling methods of termites are explained in this brief article. There are better utilised in rural libraries.

Abstract

Library and Information Science course is a profes­sional course. It trains students to acquire proficiency in managing a library or an information center. A library or an information center has various functions to perform. Certain functions need high proficiency and understanding of the work involved. A higher level of training will be required to do this. At the same time, there are certain routine jobs which with lesser qualification can be perfected well.
