Abstract
The essays in this volume are dedicated to S. Jaginder Singh Ramdev on his 80th Birthday, the founder of SATKAL Trust. The introductory page describes that-the SATKAL, a non family trust, is a unique experiment in the history of Indian librarianship. It has survived a decade of its chequered and turbulent history. But its founder Professor Ramdev was steadfast in his vision to promote and to provide it total sustenance with care and sufficient funds to keep it afloat. Satkal has honoured numerous Indian library professionals to acknowledge and project their achievements. This volume of essays has divided in to five sections. The volume is profusely illustrated and varied content of this volume is informative, educative and inspiring.
