The purpose of this study was to provide preliminary data on HIV/AIDS knowledge and awareness among students of Rajdhani College, Delhi. The findings revealed that the majority of the students have knowledge regarding HIV/AIDS while some students had detailed knowledge of the disease and its prevention. It was found that 60% of students knew the role of condoms in preventing HIV.Keywords

The study of application of ICT in libraries is considered today as the core effect of technology in the changing times. Keeping the above concept in mind a survey has been done in the Central Public Libraries in the northern region of India. The study was conducted to investigate the application of ICT in the Central State Libraries in Haryana and Chandigarh. The study provides to infer that the library automation is one of the effective and efficient application of ICT. The questionnaire comprises various aspects of the selected libraries under study to assess the applications of ICT. The data has been presented in tables along with their interpretation. The findings and a conclusion has been drawn in the light of objectives of the study.Keywords

The purpose of this study is to investigate the use and usage of OPAC in public libraries in Chandigarh City, India. Attempt has been made to know the usage of OPAC in public libraries in terms of users' frequency, purpose of use, search pattern, search approach, usage of help tips and help, problem faced and satisfaction level. A total of 289 questionnaires out of 300, duly filled-in by the respondents were received and analyzed using the simple percentage approach. The final result revealed that there is lack of computer skill and awareness on part of users, lack of proper orientation and cooperation from the library staff. Findings revealed that most of the users are satisfied with the OPAC and its services but they are not aware of all its services. In the end, suggestions have been made on the basis of the study for the effective and proper utilization of OPAC and its services.Keywords

This study is about the management of newspaper clippings in print media libraries of North India. The study includes data from twelve print media libraries from north India. The data was collected using the questionnaire method. The result shows that the print media libraries used traditional methods for storing newspaper clippings. Only 16.66% of the newspaper libraries used computerized indexing for managing their newspaper collection.Keywords
