Abstract
ISO 9000 is a series of international standards which provides the basic requirements necessary for establishing a quality system. It focuses a common linkage between the soft and hard side of quality by pulling together quality documentation The author has tried to trace the history and philosophy of quality management and in process has tried to gain perspective and to learn from endeavours as quality management applied to services of applying the same to standardise the library procedures in her library.
