In this paper, we consider a certain types of cyclic codes over Ζ27, called quadratic residue codes over Ζ27. We find the Ζ27 - quadratic residue codes using their idempotent generators and show exhibit that these codes also have excellent properties which are similar in much respect to the properties of quadratic residue codes.Keywords
