Strategic Management of Periodontic and Periodontic-Endodontic Lesion Associated with Palato-Radicular Groove – Report of Three Cases

Palato-radicular groove is a developmental anomaly, starts near the cingulum of the tooth and runs down the cementoenamel junction in an apical direction, terminating at various depths along the ischolar_main. It is suggested that the formation of palato-radicular groove is probably caused by infolding of the enamel organ and Hertwig's epithelial ischolar_main sheath during odontogenesis and has been speculated to be an aborted formation of an additional ischolar_main. It has also been suggested that the palatal groove could be the result of an alteration of genetic mechanism.
