This study examines private sectors involvement in developing entrepreneurial education of secondary schools in Kwara State. The study is a descriptive survey of correlation type. Stratified random sampling technique was used to select 60 secondary schools in Kwara State. Also 1200 respondents were purposively selected comprising of the principals, Vice principals, Parent-Teachers Association Chairman, Secretaries, artisan members, technical and vocational teachers' were also used for the study. Four research hypotheses were generated to guide the study. A research instrument tagged Private Sectors Involvement in Entrepreneurial Education Questionnaire (PSIEEQ) was used to collect relevant data. The reliability index of .67 shows that the instrument was reliable. The data collected were statistically analyzed using Pearson product moment correlation statistics and tested at .05 significance level. The findings of this study revealed that private sectors involvement in developing entrepreneurial education is significantly too low in secondary schools in Kwara State. It is however recommended that financing of entrepreneurial education of secondary schools should be a joint responsibility of all. School Management Committees should encourage the private sectors such as entrepreneurs, industrialists, parents, religious bodies, investors, politicians and well meaningful individuals to donate the needed equipments, tools and facilities that could aid entrepreneurial skills development in secondary schools. It is therefore imperative to involve private sectors in the entrepreneurial education in the interest of job creation, reduction of unemployment rate, youth empowerment, poverty alleviation and to accord high respect for secondary schools certificates in the society.Keywords

This study investigated the relationship between gender equality and entrepreneurship education development of Kwara State Tertiary Institutions, Nigeria. The study adopted both correlation and comparative research survey types. Stratified random sampling techniques was used to select 250 respondents for the vocational, technical, business education, home science, economics, fine and applied arts, and computer science departments. The respondents however comprised of heads of department, lecturers, and students of the selected departments. Five research hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. Gender equality and entrepreneurship education questionnaire (QEECQ) was used for data collection. The instrument was validated by the experts. Reliability index of .72 was obtained for the analyzed using Pearson product moment correlation statistics and t-test statistics and tested at .05 significance level.
The findings however revealed that the spirit of gender equality enhances entrepreneurship education development in Kwara state tertiary institutions, mindless of gender bias. It is also concluded that no significant difference exists in the entrepreneurship mindset of both males and females students. The study however shows that the students in Kwara state tertiary institutions choose the skills of their interest mindless of gender differences. It was however recommended that the school administrators, private sectors, national and international agencies, and well meaning for Nigerian citizens should come to the aid of tertiary institutions in the supply of entrepreneurship education equipment that can be used for the training of students without gender bias. For doing so, entrepreneurship education development will be adequately enhanced in tertiary institutions.

This article examined the need to integrate entrepreneurship skills acquisition into the National Youth Service Corps Programme in Nigeria. The paper traced the issues behind the establishment of the National Youth Services Corps to be purposely for national cultural integration, national unity and repairing of the damages that had been caused by the civil war. The paper however vision the need to integrate entrepreneurship skills acquisition into the programme of National Youth Service Corps in Nigeria and if well integrated, it will aid job creation, poverty alleviation, reduction in unemployment rate, developing youth enterprises and technological development and National and international recognition of Nigerian educational certificates. It was however recommended that for effective integration of entrepreneurship skills acquisition into National Youth Service Corps programme, every corps member should be registered in to different entrepreneurship skills of their interest; there should be improvement on the corps monthly allowance and the private sectors should be licensed to established entrepreneurship skills acquisition centers to train the youths in order to complement government efforts in the technological development of Nigerian youths and high rate of social crimes in the society will be reduced.Keywords
