Abstract

The concept of 'health' implies both biological/physical as well as psychological factors contributing to health. Health and wellbeing of individual cannot be achieved without experiencing the positive health states while facing complexity of problems. Many theories have encouraged the idea that positive emotions are good for individual's health. Existing observed researches are providing evidence for this subjective wisdom. Research uses the positive emotions as an outline to reveal that positive emotions add to psychological and physical well-being via more effective coping pathways. The growth of positive psychology as an increasingly influential force in theory and research reflects increased scientific interest in the relation to positive health states and corresponding potential as intervention for promoting positive emotions, thoughts, and understandings to improve health and well-being. It motivates individual to live a high-quality life. Such life comes from the assumption that holds the greatest value in life. It deals with the factors that contribute the most to a well-lived and fulfilling life. Positive psychologists agree that one must live a cheerful, engaged, and meaningful life. Such a life leads to health and wellbeing of all the aspect of life. Faith is a powerful force in the lives of individuals and communities worldwide. Positive forces like forgiveness and faith play an significant role in life. Research supports that positive states serve a buffering function against the problems, stressors, and disorders of life. The present study sought to explore the relationship between positive health states like Forgiveness and Faith their relationship with health.

Abstract

The main aim of this research was to investigate the differences between high and low sensation seeking alcoholics on their life satisfaction and adjustment problems. The study was carried out on adult alcoholics admitted in drug-de addiction center. The sample for the study was drawn using incidental sampling technique. The age range of the sample varies from 21 to 40 years. The participants were administered with Bell Adjustment Inventory (BAI) Hindi Adaptation, Life Satisfaction scale and Zuckerman's Sensation Seeking Scale (SSS). The data were subjected to Mean, Standard Deviation, t-test and Pearson Product Moment Method of correlation. The analysis of data confirmed significant difference between high and low sensation seeking alcoholics on their life satisfaction and adjustment problems. High sensation seeking alcoholic group had more adjustment problems and low life satisfaction as compare to low sensation seeking counterparts.

Abstract

Millions of people worldwide suffer from osteoporosis, a crippling ailment that poses a serious public health risk. According to Kanis et al. (2019), osteoporosis is a progressive skeletal illness characterised by poor bone density and structural degeneration, which increases fragility and fracture risk. Due to hormonal changes brought on by menopause, older persons are most affected, especially postmenopausal women. Diet and exercise are important factors in lowering the risk of osteoporosis. Exercises involving weight bearing boost bone density and strength, while resistance training further improves bone health by building more muscle. Exercises for balance and flexibility can assist those at risk for osteoporosis avoid falls. Healthy bones are supported by a balanced diet full of essential minerals like calcium and vitamin D. From a young age, including these lifestyle elements into daily activities can significantly lower the risk of osteoporosis and improve overall bone health.
