An experimental investigation was conducted to study the durability of recycled aggregate concrete (recycled aggregate coated with geopolymer / cement) exposed to different concentration of Sulphuric acid. A number of concrete mixes were prepared with uncoated recycled aggregates, cement coated recycled aggregates and geopolymer coated recycled aggregates. Flyash were used in some mixes. The test results of coated recycled aggregate concretes were compared with uncoated recycled aggregate concrete. Test specimens were kept in Sulphuric acid of different concentration up to 100days. Visual appearance, change in weight, change in compressive strength , change in surface texture (optical microscopy), change in microstructure (SEM), X ray diffraction analysis (XRD) and change in porosity (Mercury intrusion porosimetry) have been noted and scientifically interpreted. Performance of geopolymer coated recycled aggregate concrete is found best compared to other concrete. Keywords
