Abstract

Recently, edutainment system using augmented reality and transparent displays were researched. However, in the case of edutainment system using augmented reality due to the incongruity of environment light conditions, the virtual objects can’t fit to real world environment with natural-looking. In this paper, we designed a tangible edutainment system for synthesizing a render layer which contains real world background illumination information in order to solve virtual object’s low natural-looking problem.

Abstract

As the stereoscopic image provides the depth-of-focus to feel a real sense of distance, it has been actively studied in various fields including simulation, stereoscopic animation, interactive computers, etc. In this study, the platform which allows learning the stereoscopic image by utilizing a smartphone that is currently being used by public when taking the stereoscopic image and taking a simple stereoscopic image was proposed. The platform presented in this study will help in learning the stereoscopic image and taking a simple stereoscopic image to increase the understanding on the stereoscopic image and its utilization.

Abstract

The growth of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) within the society has become increasingly digitized, thus, the overall activity has amounted to various researches for protecting any data from malicious threats. Recently, ransomware has been a rapidly propagated subject for social engineering techniques especially the ransomware crypto locker. Users can delete a crypto locker code using an antivirus software code. However, the encrypted data would be impossible to recover. Therefore, crypto locker must be prevented and must have early detection before it infects any data. In this paper, we are proposing a quantification model to prevent and detect any cryptographic operations in the local drive.

Abstract

Recently, not only technological engineering techniques as well as social engineering have been applied to target attacks such as APT. The security system to prevent cyber-attack against smart meter must consider the smart meter environment and also apply cognition and behavior pattern of the attacker from both technical and social engineering perspective and quantified prediction of flexible and strategic cyber-attacks should precede it. Therefore, in this paper, a model was designed to quantify APT attack on smart grid in advance.
