In this paper the values of power system stabilizer converge to optimal response coordinately using differential evolutionary algorithm (DE) with small number of iterations and it is tuned in a way that inter-Area power system oscillations will be omitted. The case study is a three-area system which is simulated non-linearly in time domain using MATLAB software. Simulation results show that without using PSS and during fault occurrence, the damper torque and synchronizer torque are decreased and system become unstable which lead to low frequency oscillations such as Inter-Area ones. These problems have been omitted using optimal and coordinated PSSs'.Keywords
