Objective: This paper tries to devise a new algorithm based on ACO as well as multipath routing in Adhoc Multipath Distance Vector (AOMDV) environment. Methods/Statistical Analysis: Routing is a technique of transmitting data from source node to the destination node. Path breaks frequently in MANET due to the moving nodes. Multipath Routing presents a solution towards this problem, because of the presence of alternative paths. So, communication does not halt. Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) is a newer field of swarm intelligence to tackle optimization problems. Findings: The new algorithm is named A-AOMDV and is compared with other multipath and unipath protocols. Some of the performance metrics are chosen to compare and evaluate the new routing algorithm with traditional algorithms like Throughput, Jitter, Number of packets send, End to End Delay, Packet Lost, Delivery Ratio. Based upon the obtained results, the comparison graphs have also been made while evaluating parameters. The results are very encouraging and the new algorithm has outperformed other algorithms used for the purpose of comparison. Applications: Data communication can take place through alternative paths using efficient multipath routing protocol and easily tackle problems of disconnections during data communication. Keywords

We propose a hybrid approach of music recommendation according to which user will get recommendations of the songs searched by the other users alike to the existing user on content basis and also songs listened by that similar set users on context basis. Here we will try to find the similar users on the basis of context using K-Means clustering technique and among those users we will find the most frequent or most listened songs on the basis of content using PLSA technique. To fulfil this task we have created a dummy dataset and taking assumption that it is valid for experimental point of view. In order to evaluate the utility of recommendations produced by using proposed approach of music recommender system, we have computed three metrics i.e. Precision, Recall and F-1 Score. The result of proposed methodology shows the promising result as evaluated by parameters i.e. precision, recall and F1-score on dummy dataset. It can be tested for the real dataset of users from future perspective which will definitely going to take some time because of availability of such data. Keywords

Background/Objective: The research was carried out to study the mechanical properties of concrete by partial replacement of cement with rice husk ash. The M40 grade of concrete was used to examine compressive strength, split tensile strength and flexure strength after 7 days and 28 days of curing. The cement is to be replaced (by weight) with rice husk ash by 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% to get optimized results. Methods/Statistical Analysis: In this research work, emphasis was made on examining the optimized quantity of RHA used as replacement with cement (by weight) by the medium of experimental investigation. Findings: As per results, Compressive strength for 5% replacement i.e. M-RHA5 increased by 2.1% as compared with control mix and for 10% replacement i.e. M-RHA10 decreased by 1.4 % as compared with control mix and it decreases for M-RHA15 and M-RHA20 mixes by 14.6% and 28.8% respectively i.e. compressive strength increases up to 10% for rice husk ash replacement with cement for M40 grade of concrete. Similarly split tensile strength also increases after 5% replacement for M-RHA5 i.e. increased by 3.9 % and after 10% replacement it decrease by 17.5 % and further decreasing for 15% and 20 % replacement by 19.3% and 31.7 % respectively as compared with RHA. There is no significant effect on split tensile strength as only 5% replacement is coming optimum. Flexural strength is optimized for different percentage of RHA and compared with control mix, i.e. it is increased by 10.9% for M-RHA5 mix and then start decreasing for M-RHA10 by 3% as compared with control mix. So for compressive strength M-RHA10 is optimum and split tensile strength and for flexural strength optimum content for RHA in cement 5% i.e. M-RHA5. Application/ Improvement: As RHA has significant role in increase of compressive strength as compared with split tensile strength and flexure strength. Cement replacement with RHA will help to reduce cost of construction. Keywords

In OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) to minimize effect of Inter-carrier interference the proposed technique Conjugate transmission with Zero padding and adaptive receiver is proposed in this research article. To transmit the signal according to proposed scheme, first regular OFDM signal is transmitted as a signal in the first path and conjugate signal of regular OFDM is transmitted using proposed algorithm in second path. Two consecutive symbols of the proposed OFDM signal is transmitter after padding Zeros between them to minimize the effect of inter-carrier interference forbetter time and frequency synchronization between transmitter and receiver signal. To adaptively update the frequency offset error receiver is designed with block least mean-squared algorithm (BLMS). BPSK, QPSK and 16-QAM modulation techniques are used and simulation results are carried out using MATLab software. Simulation results for proposed scheme are compared with regular OFDM system, Conjugate Cancellation (CC) and Phase Rotation Conjugate technique(PRCC) with reference to BER and simulation graphs shows that proposed scheme shows better BER rate performance as comparison to conventional techniques for AWGN wireless channel. Keywords

Objectives: To provide characteristics of several routing algorithms by discussing the benefits and limitations in relevance to various metrics namely number of packets send, Packets dropped, delivery ratio and throughput. Methods/Statistical analysis: Some well known network simulators are available like Ns2 (Network Simulator 2), Ns3 (Network Simulator 3), OPNET, OMNeT++, Net Sim, REAL, Q. In order to achieve the objectives we shall be using simulator with the name of “network simulator - NS (version 2.35)” for the practical work. It is well known simulator and is an open source. So one can easily modify and add the new code according to their requirements. Findings: Nodes can be created in wired and wireless media using NS-2.35. These nodes can be assigned properties according to their characteristics and need of traffic. Analysis of routing algorithms has been done for 10, 30 and 40 nodes. From analysis it has been demonstrated that no. of packets dropped in AODV, DSDV, DSR and Want Net are equal to zero. No. of packets send is maximum in Want Net as compared to other routing protocols with whom the comparison has been done like AODV, DSDV and DSR. Delivery ratio is 100% in all the routing protocols AODV, DSDV, DSR and Want Net which are taken in this research paper. Throughput that represents the number of packets which are sent effectively per unit time is maximum in WAntNet as compared to other routing protocols AODV, DSDV and DSR .We have done the simulations using NS 2.35 in order to prove the benefits of WAntNet over the routing protocols that are existing in the literature. Improved performance has been attained through the WAntNet. Application/Improvements: MANET is infrastructure less network which is helpful in allocating information using movable devices. The various applications include Military Sector, Commercial Sector, Data Networks, Emergency Services and Sensor Networks. Keywords

Objectives: The central theme of this research paper is to analyze how sports have been benefited with the use of Big Data and to have a deep insight of the working of the Map Reduce algorithm which is responsible for handling and analyzing Big Data. Methods/Statistical Analysis: The research work is based on mining and filtering huge self-constructed database comprising records relevant to Indian cricketers after March 1980. The Apache Hadoop framework Hortonworks Sandbox 2.2.0 has been utilized for extracting information as per requirements from the database. The backbone behind working of the Apache Hadoop framework is the MapReduce algorithm which operates in three different phases and provides results depending on scripts and queries written in Apache Hive. Findings: With the advent of wearable and sensors enabled technologies, it has been easier for the analysts collect data from different sources. Many popular companies like Adidas and Nike are engaged in making wearable technologies that show real time stats of a player like his speed, heart rate, etc. These wearable devices can be used during training sessions to get a better picture about player’s fitness in real time. A team can analyze the tactics followed by opponents and predict how they are going to play in the next match with the help of Big Data. But it is not that the data is important, but what matters is that what organizations do with that data. The research paper concentrates on the methods that can be adopted to get the best out of the gathered data. The research work also proves that the MapReduce algorithm is far better than conventional data mining algorithms in terms of efficiency and timing. Application/Improvements: Big Data has brought a revolution in almost every sector and sports are no exemption. Forbes has mentioned that Big Data is the first ever use of statistics and data to make personal decisions in professional sports. The Apache Hadoop framework is also efficient in handling semi-structured and unstructured data. Keywords
