Seven plants are reported as new records for the Aadaman and Nicobar Islands, of which Uvaria rufa Bl., Aerchynanthus griffithii R. Br., and Phyllanthus gomphocarpus Hook. f., are new records for India.

Abstract

The article deals with the flora of the North Eastern Regions of Madhya Pradesh. Botanical explorations were made at various places during the different seasons of the year and in all a total of 79 families represented by 279 genera and 382 species of flowering plants and 7 families represented by 11 genera and 15 species of non-flowering plants are found occurring in this region and they are enumerated.

Abstract

Mitrastemon yamamotoi (Makino) Makino, a unique ischolar_main parasite hitherto known to occur from Japan to Thailand and Sumatra with a related species In Mexico, is now found in India, at Mawsmal near Cherrapunji in the Khasi&Jalntia Hills of Meghalaya. The parasite is described, Including photographs, analytical illustrations and some related notes.
