Abstract
95 % of cases delivered normally in study group by active management of labour while in control group only 89 % of cases delivered normally. In study group 3 % of cases was delivered with the help of forceps in comparison to 9 % of cases in control group. This clearly indicates that active management of labour has reduced the incidence of forceps deliveries.
