This study bridges the gap between the software Industry and Academia through improvisation of some technique into one methodology. The main objective of this article is three-fold: 1) to focus upon development practices used by small software firm. 2) to study the documentation practices in small software firm and suggest one type of documentation practice which will be beneficial for the current practice 3) to find the solution of problem faced by the small firm while materializing the requirement story board drawn by the client into cost estimation. Together with these a simple and easy to use empirical formula for the evaluation of the cost for the Agile development of a medium-size software has been proposed from the past resultant data of developmentKeywords

The Impulse Radio based Ultra Wideband (IR-UWB) system transmits data by sending pulses, each with very small time duration followed by pauses that are approximately two hundred times that length. Rake receiver improves system performance by equalizing signals from different paths. This enables the use of Rake receiver techniques in UWB systems. For high data rate ultra-wideband communication system, performance comparison of ARake, PRake and SRake receivers are attempted. Although UWB communication offers a promising solution in an increasingly overcrowded frequency spectrum, mutual interference due to coexistence with other spectrally overlapping wireless system degrades the performance of both systems. The narrow band systems may cause interference with UWB devices as it is having very low transmission power and the large bandwidth. So it may jam the UWB receiver completely degrading their performance. Rake receiver alone fails to perform in such condition. A hybrid SRAKE-MMSE time domain equalizer is proposed to overcome this by taking into account both the effect of the number of rake fingers and equalizer taps. This scheme selects the first strongest multipath components and combines them using a SRake receiver based on the minimum mean square error (MMSE) criterion. It also combats inter-symbol interference by considering the same advantages. Study on non-line of sight indoor channel models illustrates that bit error rate performance of UWB SRAKE-MMSE (both LE and DFE types) improves for CM3 model with smaller spread compared to CM4 channel model cancelling out the narrowband interference. A modified UWB channel model is proposed using the Rician distribution for underwater communication. Again BER performance of the proposed receiver is compared with traditional receiver technique for the underwater UWB LOS channel model.Keywords

OFDM is a form of multicarrier modulation technique with high spectral efficiency, robustness to channel fading, immunity to impulse interference, uniform average spectral density capacity of handling very strong echoes and non-linear distortion. Despite of its many advantages, one major disadvantage of OFDM is that the time domain OFDM signal which is a sum of several sinusoids leads to high peak to average power ratio (PAPR). The peak to average power ratio of the time domain envelope is an important parameter at the physical layer of the communication system using OFDM signaling. The signals must maintain a specified average energy level in the channel to obtain the desired Bit-error-rate. Pulse shaping techniques are very effective and mitigate problems associated with PAPR. In this paper conventional pulse shapes like Raised Cosine (RC), and sinc Power (SP) pulses are modified as Modified Raised Cosine Pulse (MRC) and Improved sinc Power pulse (ISP) introducing design parameter 'd' and amplitude parameter 'a' etc . The proposed method has fast decaying rate by decreasing the lobes of sinc function and its implementation complexity is also less. In this paper OFDM system performance measures like Complementary Cumulative Distribution Function (CCDF) of PAPR and bit error rate (BER) are analyzed through MATLAB simulation which proves the efficacy of the proposed pulse shaping scheme. It was observed from the performance curves using ISP pulse shaping filter at the OFDM transmitter's end outperforms others.Keywords

Global fish production continues to outpace world population growth and aquaculture remains one of the most promising as well as fastest growing industries and provides high quality protein diets. Over the last three decades, much effort in research has increased in fish growth efficiency by manipulation of dietary formulation. Along with the increasing demand, the main challenge is disease outbreak and thus massive economic losses. Due to harmful effects of vaccines, antibiotics and various chemotherapeutics, an alternate approach can be used for naturally occurring microbial resources in aquaculture system to enhance growth, immune system and also to control diseases. The present work concentrate on the gut microbes of vermicomposting earthworm and role of cellulolytic microbes in fish feed formulation with the help of fermentation process.Keywords
