I am humbled to be provided an opportunity to write a few words about Swami Vivekananda, whose radiant personality and visionary teachings continue to inspire individuals from all walks of life, irrespective of nationality, age, religion, or gender. Swami Vivekananda envisioned a society that was, at its core, filled with a sense of connectedness and tolerance. His vision of society was one 'in which there will be no place for persecution or intolerance... [and] which will recognize divinity in every man and woman whose whole force will be centred in aiding humanity to realize its own true divine nature.' This statement is relevant not just to our motherland of India, but to the entire world.
