There is a growing need to assess the value of patents, which represents intellectual properties in the age of knowledge economy. For instance, invigorating IP Finance assumes the assessment of patent values. Likewise, when business entities map out patent strategies, it is essential to assess the value of patents. In this context, this paper reviews a range of established methods of assessing the value of patents and proposes a method of assessing patent values using crowdsourcing taking the advantage of the internet era. Keywords

CCTVs are already much ingrained into our lives, and can be commonly seen not only in public spaces but also in private ones. Although CCTVs were developed for military purposes at first, nowadays they are used for the purpose of the safety of society. Furthermore, the public sectors such as fire stations, local governments, and the police also make use of CCTVs, and the range of use includes crime prevention, traffic information collection, traffic enforcement, and so on. In other sectors, the use of CCTV for safety in private spaces like apartments, houses, buildings, stores, and elevators is becoming common. Precedent studies on utilization of CCTV, however, mainly focused on legal aspects and parts about crime prevention. Nonetheless, CCTVs are not only for crime prevention, and they are in use for various fields: traffic management, traffic enforcement, disaster, fire management, facilities management, harbor management, and so on. Accordingly, this research aims to suggest in the explorative way the methods for fire prevention and suppression using big data (CCTV), and based on these, new approaches to securing safety against disaster. Keywords

With the rapid development of ICT and the market, the border in the market began to be meaningless any more, and it came to be difficult to produce products just with a single technology. Especially, with the acceleration of the convergence and integration of technologies, this phenomenon will further continue in the future, and at the point of time when the patents are more important than ever before, it is important to understand the purposes of patent applications. Thus, this study looked into related preceding studies in order to analyze the reasons or purposes that domestic IT manufacturers apply for patents and drew main factors through an expert Delphi survey. As a result of an empirical analysis of the drawn factors with executives of IT manufacturers (H/W, S/W), it turned out that there was a difference in the purposes of patent applications of the IT manufacturers. Keywords

The resident registration numbers were used for administrative purposes including people's up-to-date residence information and vital statistics or provision of public services in Korea. In 2005, the government of Korea devised the i-PIN, a new online personal identification system replacing resident registration numbers. In the context of the i-PIN, the present study intended to shed light on the relationship between security and convenience. Also, we tried to explore the antecedents of adoption of the i-PIN. As a result, user support and perceived security had positive effects on the perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness respectively. The perceived ease of use also had significant effects on the perceived usefulness and satisfaction, whereas it did not exert direct effects on the use intention. Not surprisingly, the most significant variable influencing the use intention and satisfaction was perceived usefulness. Keywords

Now, the Korean mobile communication market already reached full growth. In this situation, mobile communication companies are constantly trying to find ways to differentiate their services. But it was quite difficult. The only thing that differentiates their service is quality. This study aims to examine the impact of service quality and satisfaction on continuous use intention in the Korean mobile telecommunication context. More specifically, the objectives of the present study are to investigate how service quality and satisfaction influence directly continuous use intention of LTE, and what is the most significant constructing factor of service quality as antecedents of a subscriber's satisfaction and continuous use intention of LTE. Though studies measuring service quality mainly used SERVQUAL and SERVPERF, studies considering the uniqueness of mobile communication market were rare. There were few studies that measured the quality of Korean mobile communication service. But they didn't reflect the distinctiveness of the market. We were able to find critical common variables that can be applied to Korean mobile communication market from prior research. We suggested billing system, device, call quality, corporate image, speed, customer support and bonus system as core variables of service quality. Afterwards, we conducted a questionnaire survey of college students mainly in their twenties. As a result, customer support, corporate image, and speed among service quality factor presented in this paper significantly influenced customer satisfaction. Also, customer satisfaction has a strong relationship with continuous use intention. Keywords
