A prerequisite for a widespread and successful deployment of ad-hoc networking technology is its ability to provide easy access to the Internet. In this paper, we review the existing solutions to interconnect MANETs with the Internet, but find them lacking in robustness and flexibility. Many methods undergoes with the problem of indirection (i.e., a way to enforce routing through a certain gateway on the path toward a destination in the Internet) and gateway tracking. We analyze the above problems and suggest a solution that provides robust and flexible Internet connectivity. This paper overcomes the problem by using a forwarding strategy, tunneling and also provides dynamically adjusting service which improves MANET flexibility. Simulations show that, when used in combination with AODV routing, our solution provides up to 25% delivery ratio improvement. Keywords

The dynamic and cooperative nature of ad hoc networks presents considerable challenges in securing and detecting attacks in these networks. A security attack, called the wormhole attack, has been introduced in the context of ad-hoc networks. During the attack, a malicious node captures packets from one location in the network, and tunnels them to another malicious node at a distant point. Wormhole nodes can grab the route from the source node to the destination node, then it drop, or sniff the packets. A wormhole attack poses various threats and it is difficult to prevent. Many techniques have been evolved to detect wormhole attack. This paper presents a survey of various techniques used to detect wormhole attacks. Based on the metrics like packet loss rate, Throughput and Detection rate a comparative study is also done. Keywords

This paper presents the security arrangement for door implemented with built-in Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor based motion detector. This system protects our home or office from the unauthorized access of thief and also the intruder image can be monitor by an IP camera. We have interfaced both IP camera and PIR sensors into an embedded system, which can be connected to a server. It provides enough intelligence relating to the intrusion. This, in turn, can be used as electronic lock for domestic use and also as a monitoring system. Keywords

A simple, accurate, rapid and precise isocratic reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatographic method has been developed and validated for simultaneous determination of Amlodipine and Valsartan in tablets. The chromatographic separation was carried out on an cosmosil packed column 5c-18 ms II (250×4.6 i.d ) with a mixture of acetonitrile: methanol: phosphate buffer pH 3 adjusted with orthophosphoric acid (20:50:30, v/v) as mobile phase; at a flow rate of 1.0 ml/min. UV detection was performed at 239 nm. The retention times were 4.915 and 8.056 min. for Amlodipine and Valsartan respectively. Calibration plots were linear (r2>0.998) over the concentration range 10-60 μg/ml for Amlodipine and 10-60 μg/ml Valsartan. The method was validated for accuracy, precision, specificity, linearity, and sensitivity. The proposed method was successfully used for quantitative analysis of tablets. No interference from any component of pharmaceutical dosage form was observed. Validation studies revealed that method is specific, rapid, reliable, and reproducible. The high recovery and low relative standard deviation confirm the suitability of the method for routine determination of Amlodipine and Valsartan in bulk drug and tablet dosage form. Keywords

The erosion of traditional culinary habits and the acceleration of consumer lifestyles are leading to a decrease in the time spent cooking at home in India, particularly amongst younger consumers. As a result, there is a growing demand for convenient, packaged processed meat products. This study aims at finding out the consumer perception on frozen meat products using Likert scaling technique and the problems faced by the consumers while purchasing it using Garrett's ranking technique. Purposive sampling method was employed to collect details from consumers of Coimbatore city. A structured questionnaire was used to collect primary data from consumers through fact to face interview. From the results it is concluded that the consumers perceive frozen meat products to be convenient and readily available in different quantities and the major problem faced is the high cost of those products. Keywords

In India, 80% of the diseases are water-borne and 60-80% children suffer from this. 50000 people die every day due to water contamination with 8 million cases of typhoid every year in India. Packaged drinking water industry is at a whooping rate of growth with nearly 200 brands in India, 80% being local. So the consumers need to be diligent in brand selection. The present paper aims to study the brand preference of consumers in Coimbatore City. Totally 120 consumers were selected by convenience sampling method in Coimbatore City. Percentage analysis, Garrett's ranking and Likert analysis were used to study the brand preference and factors influencing the purchase of packaged drinking water and to examine the brand loyalty and brand switching behavior of consumers. The study indicated that Bisleri and Sirnvani were the most preferred brands. Quality, taste and comparatively lower price were the important factors which influenced the purchase of packaged drinking water. The brand name acts as a vital source for preference of brands. The consumers remain loyal as long as the brand is available in their local market and there is a consistency in price. Keywords
