A Sub-acute toxicity study was conducted in adult female Wistar rats to study the effect of Fluoxetine Hydrochloride (Prozac) on reproductive behaviour, fertility and viability postnatal development of their progeny. 40 nulliparous depression induced female Wistar rats (11-12 weeks, weighing 150-170 gms) were divided into 4 groups and given Fluoxetine Hydrochloride at doses of 20mg/ kg, 40mg/kg, 60mg/kg and 80mg/kg intraperitoneally once daily for 14 days.

Background/Objectives: This paper speaks about the design of a wireless sensor module that senses the temperature and humidity of a residential building. In most of the cases the temperature in a home is controlled by a single thermostat placed at a central location. Methods/Statistical Analysis: Few rooms might be hotter or cooler than the other. Hence, zoning systems are used to provide independent comfort for each zone. Each zone can have a sensor that detects the temperature and humidity of the zone. But, the current thermostats have a sensor onboard which detect temperature and humidity. Findings: This sensor output can be affected by the heat produced by other devices on the thermostat. The solution of this problem is a wireless sensor which detects the exact temperature of the zone. Based on these values the thermostat runs a predefined algorithm and maintains the required environment in each zone. On comparison with different wireless technologies like Zigbee, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth. Z-wave suits more for the above applications whose frequency is 900 MHz which is different from the crowded 2.4 GHz frequency band and Z-wave also has a higher range and battery life. This system has a wireless sensor module which talks to the thermostat using Z-wave wireless communication protocol. This system uses ARM based microcontroller for wireless sensor unit. The thermostat has a high end ARM based microprocessor and a display unit which shows the acquired temperature and humidity. Conclusion/Improvements: his design shows a wireless sensor module that is implemented for a single zone system. Improvement can be done on the design to develop a low power battery operated sensor module that can be implemented for a multi zone system.Keywords

- Incidence of Dental Caries and Pericoronitis Associated with Impacted Mandibular Third Molar-A Radiographic Study

Background:
Impacted teeth are those which fail to erupt in dental arch within the expected time for a variety of reasons. Any tooth in the dental arch may become impacted but the most common are mandibular third molars followed by the mandibular premolars. Mandibular third molars erupt at 17 to 21 years age. The mandibular third molars when impacted may acquire a range of patterns and positions and can lead to diverse pathologies. One such pathology is pericoronitis and dental caries. Pericoronitis is an acute or chronic inflammatory condition presenting with pain, swelling, limited jaw opening and difficulty in swallowing.
Objective:
To assess the incidence of dental caries and pericoronitis associated with impacted mandibular third molars using radiographs and look for associations between the angulation of impaction pericoronitis and dental caries.
Materials and methods:
The study was conducted from the archived images exposed between September 2015 - April 2016. The images were from patients who have taken radiographs for impaction.The images were assessed in Planmeca Romexis viewer, Ver 5.0, Planmeca Oy, Finland in the native format. The image data was stored in Microsoft excel 2016, Redmond, WA, USA.
Results:
The study analyzed 273 radiographs from which 236 were picked up for analysis. 37 radiographs were excluded for poor diagnostic quality. For better analysis, the included subjects were classified into three groups of I (16-20 years), II (21-40 years) and III (41-60 years). The group II (21-40 years) showed higher incidence of pericoronitis and dental caries. Conclusion:
The study done by us on retrospective radiographs reveals that there is a higher incidence of pericoronitis across the age groups.

The policy of ‘Make in India’ being given the major thrust, the manufacturing has emerged as one of the high growth sectors in India. Of various products of industrial, agricultural and household needs, PVC pipes are of multifarious utility and hence needed in all segments for both water supply and in laying concealed wiring in buildings. Hence, there is a stiff competition among the firms producing PVC pipes in India. However, the success of a firm depends on its financial soundness, particularly the liquidity and profitability levels. Liquidity refers to the ability of a concern to meet its current obligations as and when these become due. The profitability acts as a yardstick to measure the operating efficiency of the enterprise. The present study analyses and compares the liquidity and profitability position of the two leading PVC manufacturing companies listed in both NSE and BSE, namely Astral Poly Technik Ltd and Finolex Industries Ltd. The financial data of the past ten years from 2007-08 to 2016-17 was used. Accounting ratios, Motaal’s comprehensive test of liquidity and Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient are the tools used for the analysis. The study indicates that there is a positive correlation between liquidity and profitability in case of Astral Poly Technik Ltd, while a negative correlation in case of Finolex Industries Ltd.
