This work aims to identify the metabolites present in the human Intervertebral Disc (IVD). Metabolomic analysis of human IVD tissue has not been extensively done to date. Knowledge on the metabolites present in the IVD tissue in humans is very limited and many compounds are yet to be identified. In this study, we have carried out the metabolic profiling for human IVD through Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS). This is the first initial study that has compared the metabolites of control and diseased IVD. We have identified 75 different chemical compounds in IVD, and also metabolites that are unique to the diseased IVD, suggesting that some of these metabolites might play a role in disc degenerative disease. Keywords

There exists a need for traffic flow modeling in developing countries on account of the growth in personalized traffic. Traffic problems on highways and in urban areas attract considerable attention. Many scientists have tried to develop various Mathematical models.Cellular Automata (CA) approach has recently gained a lot of interest in traffic flow modeling due to its simplicity and computational efficiency. The model developed in the paper is based on Nagal and Schreckenberg (NaSch) model. We proposed a new stochastic one dimensional CA model for single lane with modified cell size and variable acceleration rate. Slow to start rule and anticipation rule has been introduced by extending NaSch model in Lagrange‟s form. The new extended CA model for traffic flow appear to have metastable branches near the critical density from steady state flow to jamming flow due to the presence of anticipation parameter and slow to start effect. Simulation results with fundamental diagrams for various values of p (braking probability), q (slow to start probability) and r (anticipation probability) show the ability of this modeling paradigm to capture the most important features of the traffic flow phenomena. Keywords

Forest fire has to be extinguished as early as possible because it not only destroys many resources available in the forest but also affects the environmental and climatic conditions. In order to extinguish fires two actions must be performed (1) an optimized path that avoids collision with obstacles must be identified and (2) fire must be extinguished by suitable means i.e. either using water or fire extinguishing chemical agents. In this paper we have proposed a path planning of a mobile actor to extinguish fires based on genetic algorithm. The method is more powerful robust search technique which gives optimal results when compared to the traditional or conventional methods. A Genetic Algorithm Path Planner (GAPP) based on fixed length chromosome and a generic fitness function combining all the objectives of the problem is also proposed. The proposed algorithm is suitable for static environment with static obstacles. Keywords

Given a system of linear equations, a complete reduction of the coefficient matrix to Reduced Row Echelon (RRE) form is far from the most efficient algorithm if one is only interested in finding a solution to the system. However, the Elementary Row Operations (EROs) that constitute such a reduction are themselves at the heart of many frequently used numerical (i.e., computer-calculated) applications of Linear Algebra. EROs can be used to produce a so-called LU-factorization of a matrix into a product of two significantly simpler matrices. Unlike dagonalization and the polar decomposition for matrices these LU Decompositions can be computed reasonably quickly for many matrices. LU-factorizations are also an important tool for solving linear systems of equations. It should be noted that the factorization of complicated objects into simpler components is an extremely common problem solving technique in mathematics. The LU factorization algorithm is as such a very complex and time consuming task. The only way to reduce the time would be to use a hardware interpreter for executing the linear code. The interpreter which takes in a stream of variable length instructions representing the symbolic unrolled instructions in the LU factorization algorithm. The output of the interpreter is the sparse L and U factors where the matrix values are in IEEE-754 double precision format. In this paper, multiplication algorithms are analyzed, cores have been developed in Verilog HDL and its pipelined versions are tested using Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs).Keywords

Globally, breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed tumour that leads to the death in women. The number of genes that leads to the breast cancer is gradually increasing and a pursuit for the better understanding of the genes and their products that serves as the potential drug targets of breast cancer are demanding. In this regard, the development of potential resources that can employ the key genes and their products that plays a crucial role in the cause of breast cancer, may serve as a potential resource for the identification of novel drug targets and also in the development of novel drugs. Thus Breast Cancer Gene Database (BCGDB) holding 2948 over expressed genes that involve in breast cancer and 487 genes that play significant role in breast cancer were provided. The structural and functional aspects of these genes and their products provided in this database can serve as an ecstasy resource for the breast cancer researchers to pursue their investigations for the development of novel therapeutics for the cure of breast cancer. This database can be accessed online (http://www.bcgdb.in).Keywords

Objectives: Tasks are conducted depending upon the cooperation of the nodes in generic ad hoc network. This paper examines the efficiency of the node cooperation incentives which are delivered through the schemes, by ANC approach. Methods: The current proposed scheme diminishes the traditional transmission range by adapting the dissimilarities radio range in real time, by comparing the node distance i.e., greater than acceptable threshold gathering their node coverage area by sending the Hello packets among the nodes. During such thing it has been measured the resilience metric to find out what extend the path protects a multiple cast tree to specific protection against single link failure propose method to strengthen the fast reroute for repair the current consistency nodes and to initiate the update procedure of the transmission range, by this ANC model, one can examine the collaboration incentives successful packet delivered through these dual schemes through no cooperation incentive approach. Findings: The speculative and simulation outcomes display the advantage of the united system over the discrete system and its metrics like battery life, distance, position and mobility is done based on the factors such as node density, coverage area, contention index, and current node degree of the nodes in the networks. Applications/Improvements: The problem of transmission range adjustment in a multi-hop wireless network context is discussed with an optimized technique and also evaluated our approach in the case of a uniform node distribution and findings confirm the previous results. An analytical model that provides an estimation of the transmission area too designed.
