A novel method was devised for the transportation of parasitized egg cards of the scelionid parasitoid, Telenomus remu Nixon. Several consignments of parasitized eggs of T. remus were transported and based on the feedback obtained from the receiving station, it was evident that the eggs within the newly designed transportation containers were not damaged in transit. One container can hold 20,000 parasitized eggs and it costs Rs. 20. From this study, it is also evident that it is ideal to transport 0 to 4 day old un-stored eggs. If stored parasitized eggs (0-2 day old) have to be transported, the pre-transportation storage period should not exceed 4 days. This would prevent adult emergence in transit and also ensure that the receiving station has sufficient time to plan field releases prior to adult emergence.Keywords

Serious and unprecedented infestations by the sugarcane woolly aphid, Ceratovacuna lanigera Zehntner were witnessed on the leaves of 4·9 month old sugarcane crop in Kolhapur and Pune districts of Maharashtra during September-October, 2002. During surveys for natural enemies, seven predators were recorded in Kolhapur, of which Dipha?aphidivora (Meyrick) was observed to be the most promising. In Pune district, only Cheilomenes sexmaculata (Fabricius) was recorded. Limited field releases of the coccinellid, Synonycha grandis (Thunberg) collected from the bamboo woolly aphids at Bangalore and the chrysopid, Chrysoperla carnea (Stephens) were made in a small area at Kolhapur. S. grandis adults and C. carnea eggs were recovered 2 to 3 weeks after release, indicating their survival in the field.Keywords

This paper presents the design and development of Non Stop Automatic Toll Collection System. It is simple and faster than traditional token based toll collection system, so it has all potential to replace the existing system. In this vehicle don’t need to stop to pay toll which saves a quality time. A new RFID Authentication and authorization protocol model was used to guarantee system security. RFID Toll Collection Management System uses contact less automatic identification technology for identification of vehicle owner passing through Toll Collection centers. So time required to take the toll at the end of session can be reduced. Saving time for toll collection will save bulk of time in all working hours of Toll Collection Centers. The automatic toll collection system based on RFID has advantages of less cost, small size and high Reliability. This non stop automatic toll collection system also provides a additional feature as compared to existing toll collection systems i.e. detection of vehicle number plates.Keywords

The incidence of maxillofacial fractures varies widely between different countries. The large variability in reported incidence and aetiology is due to a variety of contributing factors, including environmental, cultural and socioeconomic factors. This retrospective report presents a study, investigating the aetiology and incidence of patients with maxillofacial fractures in Navi Mumbai over a period of 6 months. The study population consisted of 91 males and 13 females with a mean age of 35.9 years. The age group 20-40 years accounted for the largest subgroup in both genders. The most common cause of the fractures was traffic related, followed by violence. There were mainly mandibularand zygomatic bone fractures in both males and females, accounting for approximately 80% of all fractures. The main fracture site of the mandible was the parasymphysis. In fractures of the midface, zygomatic bone fractures were most common. In conclusion, this report provides important data for any action plans for injury prevention. This data provides important insights into the etiologies of maxillofacial fractures in Navi Mumbai, India. The observation derived from the data would be beneficial to government agencies in their efforts to improve road safety.Keywords
