Abstract

Medicinal plants require necessary conservation efforts for protection and sustainable use. Tribal community Kinnaura in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh has protected and conserved Saussurea obuollala, one of the endangered plant species of the Himalayas through their social and cultural traditions and have made an exemplary contribution by exhibiting as to how their traditional values could help in biodiversity conservation.

Abstract

Multiple view points during design phase about entities that are holding data and independent analysis by different organizations lead to different versions of same entity that are structurally incoherent or inconsistent. Hence centralized publishing of minimal definition of entities play useful role in reducing the duplication of effort involved in e-Government projects. E-Government solutions deal with multiple databases that may store data about different versions of same entity. Present paper is an effort to present language based solution to bring structural coherence in data layer of e-Government solutions. Schema based approach for Entity Definition has been proposed to define structure (vocabularies) for government entities and their metadata. Its adoption by authorities will ensure structural coherence among federal databases and allow the organization to harness the power of reusability and facilitate the rapid development of services based on similar entities.

Abstract

The main objective of database analysis, design, and implementation is to establish an electronic repository that faithfully represents the conceptual and logical model of the manageable aspects of a user's information domain. The main goal of data engineering is to put quality data in the hands of user. This paper defines the common dimensions of data quality along with the Framework for database that represents the hierarchy of database quality dimensions including Process, Data factor, Model and behavioral factors.
