Mobile ad hoc networks, an instantaneous, easily deployable, infrastructure less network paves way for many applications in this ever widening communication world. The important aspect lies in securing Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) due to its decentralized architecture, dynamic topology and the mobility of the nodes. Many secure routing protocols has been evolving continuously in all these years but, still a perfect security protocol has not been achieved. Authenticated Routing for Ad hoc Networks (ARAN), an efficient secure routing protocol satisfies major security parameters such as message integrity, authentication, confidentiality and non- repudiation, but failed to differentiate the legitimate nodes from malicious nodes and selfish nodes. Reputed ARAN (RARAN) was latter proposed to perceive the selfish nodes and the protocol was efficient. This work ERAF focuses on detecting the selfish node with greater accuracy. In RARAN, the probability of detection of selfish nodes was less accurate. The protocol, which I have proposed - ERAF – Extensive Reputed ARAN using fuzzy logic, aims in achieving greater accuracy for detecting selfish nodes by integrating the fuzzy logic with the existing secure RARAN. The work aims at measuring the battery power gradually from minimum threshold to maximum threshold, a critical region of packet drop by selfish nodes. It also increases the efficiency of MANET. The overhead experienced in RARAN also is reduced by this protocol. Moreover decreasing signal strength contributes to dropping of packets which cannot be differentiated from selfish nodes. Using fuzzy logic the signal strength can be accurately predicted and when it falls below the threshold level, alternate route is chosen. Based on the two major parameters considered in this work, battery power and signal strength selfish nodes are detected accurately using the fuzzy logic at the earliest and isolated from the network.

Job status of individuals is generally applied as a determinant in measuring their financial status. The job is linked with the salary earned by an individual, who is a part of any family household. This study aims to measure the association that prevails between job status of individuals and their current financial condition. The study confirms the fact that, influences of job on the employees' including private sector workers' life-style and socio-economic status are more related to emotional feel. The study suggests that wise investment pattern and strategic financial planning can support both self-employed persons and employees working in either public or private sectors in enhancing their current financial conditions.Keywords

A field trial was conducted during 2009-2010 at College Orchard, Horticultural College and Research Institute, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, to standardize stage-wise requirement of nutrients in banana cv. Grand Naine (AAA). Treatment T16 where application of 100% RDF (165:52.5:495g NPK plant-1) at 4 critical growth stages, i.e., 40:52.5:25, 30:0:35, 30:0:25 and 0:0:15% at the 3rd, 5th, 7th and 9th months after planting (MAP), respectively, recorded maximum plant height, pseudostem girth and leaf area index. Maximum bunch weight of 32.15kg was recorded in T16. Higher yield was attributed to more number of (i) hands per bunch, (ii) fingers per hand and (iii) per bunch, besides the higher average weight of the finger. Better quality fruits, with higher TSS, total sugars, low acidity and better sugar:acid blend, were obtained in T16. In treatment T16, where 100% RDF was applied, increased N, P, and K content were seen in the index leaf of the crop. Lower soil-available nutrients, viz., N, P, K, at the higher level of split-application at critical stages of the crop revealed, that, the nutrients applied were utilized efficiently. This was reflected in the better yield and quality obtained. Economics were worked out which indicated T16 as giving the highest cost:benefit ratio (1:3.97).Keywords

Attempts were made to estimate molecular diversity present in F3 populations of intergeneric crosses between Carica papaya L. (Var. Pusa Nanha and CP 50) and Vasconcellea cauliflora. Molecular studies revealed that PCR amplification using five ISSR primers in 40 F3 progenies yielded 53 reproducible amplified bands. Of the 53 bands, 44 were polymorphic (83.02%). Polymorphic Information Content (PIC) value ranged between 0.90 (ISSR 807 x 810) and 0.66 (ISSR 834 x 810). Similarity coefficients based on five ISSR markers ranged from 0.05 to 0.96. Maximum similarity was observed for genotypes 1, 4 and 6 of Pusa Nanha x Vasconcellea cauliflora (0.96). Minimum similarity was observed between genotypes 3 and 14 of CP 50 x Vasconcellea cauliflora (0.04). This higher genetic diversity of papaya progenies stands to contribute to development of new varieties and, using the data, further hybridization and selection can be planned.Keywords

Six papaya hybrids, viz., CO-1 × Pusa Nanha, CO-2 × Pusa Nanha, CO-4 × Pusa Nanha, CO-5 × Pusa Nanha, CO-6 × Pusa Nanha and CO-7 × Pusa Nanha, along with their respective parents, were evaluated for fruit yield and quality. Higher fruit yield was recorded in hybrids CO-2 × Pusa Nanha, CO-4 × Pusa Nanha and CO-5 × Pusa Nanha at first harvest. Higher papain recovery was seen in CO-2 × Pusa Nanha and CO-5 × Pusa Nanha and activity of this enzyme was highest in CO-5 × Pusa Nanha. For fruit yield at first harvest, hybrids CO-2 × Pusa Nanha, CO-4 × Pusa Nanha, CO-6 × Pusa Nanha and CO-5 × Pusa Nanha recorded higher heterosis over mid- and better parental values. Fruit yield at first harvest exhibited high genotypic and phenotypic coefficient of variation. Days to flowering had the least genotypic and phenotypic coefficient of variation. Highest heritability estimates were recorded for plant height at first flowering, ascorbic acid content and titrable acidity. Fruit yield at first harvest showed high genetic advance as percentage of mean and the least genetic advance was seen for days to flowering. CO-2 × Pusa Nanha, CO-4 × Pusa Nanha, CO-5 × Pusa Nanha and CO-6 × Pusa Nanha showed better yield and earliness, and are recommended for further evaluation.Keywords

Effect of foliar application of various nitrogenous chemicals on flowering, fruit set and yield of mango cv. Alphonso was studied at the orchard of Horticultural College and Research Institute, Coimbatore, during 2010 - 2011. Maximum number of flowering shoots (68.7%), number of panicles (7.5/m2), panicle length (31.4cm), number of hermaphrodite flowers (282.5/panicle), fruit set (17.0%), number of fruits (146.0/tree) and fruit yield (43.8 kg/tree) was obtained with foliar spray of KNO3 at 2% concentration. Higher content of chlorophyll (1.7g mg-1), carbohydrate (14.5g 100g-1) and nitrogen (1.43%) and higher C/N ratio (10.18) were also recorded in plants sprayed with 2% KNO3, followed by 1% KNO3.Keywords

Mobile ad hoc networks are characterized by multi-hop wireless links, absence of any cellular infrastructure, and frequent host mobility. Design of efficient routing protocols is a challenging issue in such networks. Transmissions of packets are impaired by radio link fluctuations. Thus, in this paper an enhanced, channel adaptive routing protocol extensions to a multipath routing protocol known as Ad hoc On-Demand Multipath Distance Vector routing protocol, to accommodate channel fading is introduced. The resulting protocol is referred to as Channel Aware-Ad hoc On-Demand Multipath Distance Vector routing protocol. This routing protocol is quite suitable that uses the channel average nonfading duration as a routing metric to select stable links for path discovery. By exploiting channel state information, it applies a preemptive handoff strategy to maintain reliable and stable connections. Paths can be reused when they become available again, rather than simply regarding them as useless. We provide theoretical expressions for network performance measures, as well as the differences in performance between the two routing protocols mentioned above.Keywords

The Dynamic Source Routing protocol (DSR) is a simple and efficient routing protocol designed specifically for use in multihop wireless ad hoc networks of mobile nodes. DSR allows the network to be completely self-organizing and selfconfiguring, without the need for any existing network infrastructure or administration. The protocol is composed of the two main mechanisms of Route Discovery and Route Maintenance, which work together to allow nodes to discover and maintain routes to arbitrary destinations in the ad hoc network. All aspects of the protocol operate entirely on-demand, allowing the routing packet overhead of DSR to scale automatically to only that needed to react to changes in the routes currently in use. The protocol allows multiple routes to any destination and allows each sender to select and control the routes used in routing its packets, for example for use in load balancing or for increased robustness.Keywords

The development of the internet in the recent years leads to the security and authentication of users data. It is still a challenging problem in the Wireless Body Sensor Network (WBSN). It is important to protect the personal medical and health information collected by the biosensors. To protect the physiological data biometric authentication is implemented on physical features to provide privacy. Biometric field recently works on reduce in process delay and enhances the level of accuracy. WBSN authenticates systems works based on retina intrinsically of physiological and behavioral characteristics of persons. It provides solutions to network security problems by replacing the authentication component of the traditional systems. The experimental results shows that by implementing BFTASR protocol on retina authentication performance proves that more secure than existing approach.Keywords

This paper aims to review the recent trends in measuring yarn hairiness and the digital description, impartial assessment of yarn appearance are processed under the new approaches named digital image processing technology. The traditional detection methods and this new developed method were associated with each other which are made and analysed. When compared with the traditional methods, image-based methods have the advantages of being objective, fast and precise. Consequently, it perceived the yarn under a microscope and procurement a trace of hairs proved that the new trends are created in yarn appearance evaluation. The various indirect techniques for measuring yarn hairiness are developed, regarding the growth in its high commercial use of yarn increases. An endeavour was made in this work too reduce the risk and improve to automate the task using image processing technology. The first step is to develop the relevant algorithm proficient of analysing yarn hairiness image .The second step to minimize the need of requirement in this process of image actuation. In this work the best yarn hairiness indicator is recommended than traditional methods definition.Keywords

Introduction: Children around the world are engaged in forms of work and were forced into prostitution every year. Material and methods: Physical examination, radiographs depicting skeletal and dental parameters have been used to estimate the biological age of 85 male child laborers and 19 female commercial sex workers. The radiographs analyzed by two separate forensic experts using skeletal and dental assessment methods. A statistical analysis was performed to analyze differences between reported and assessed ages. Result: 33(39%) out of 85 individuals had reported ages lower than the estimated biological ages. In 24 cases, the reported age was less than 14 years, but only 20 individuals were confirmed. It was observed that the 8 out of 19 individuals were identified minors (below 18 years). Conclusion: The results showed a significant difference between reported and assessed ages (p < 0.001); however, no statistical difference was shown between skeletal and dental age.Keywords

Fibers protruding out from the main body of the yarn are called Yarn Hairiness. It is one of the main aspects, key indicator of limitation to detect the yarn quality. It affects the appearance of yarn and subsequent processing of textile process. It is in most circumstances an undesirable property, giving rise to problem of fabric production and also deteriorates the fabric appearance. Various developments regarding yarn hairiness have been described in the various researches. These researchers handle the various aspects such as hairiness measurement, modelling, simulation, spinning modifications and post spinning treatments to reduce hairiness and many techniques for detecting also. This study is an attempt to analytically review all significant recent growth and progresses regarding yarn hairiness, further possibilities of research and future work are also concisely discussed.

Cyclooxygenases (COX-1 and COX-2) catalyze the rate-limiting step in the biosynthesis of prostaglandins, prostacyclins, and thromboxanes. Ibuprofen has classically fallen into the time-dependant class of COX inhibitors as it binds rapidly and reversibly to Cox and acts as a competitive inhibitor of arachidonic acid oxygenation.The discovery of new and novel anti-inflammatory drugs is an area of intense interest in both pharmaceutical industry and academic laboratories. Significant advances have been made in the treatment of inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and multiple sclerosis, but most dramatically with new biologic agents. Perhaps due in part to the mixed experiences with COX-2 inhibitors, very few small molecule anti-inflammatory drugs with novel modes of action have made it to the market in the last decade.The various benzilic acid compounds synthesized have taken for in-silico analysis to study the structure activity relationship using crystal structure co-crystallized with 2-(4-isobtyl phenyl) propionic acid (PDB ID: 4PH9).The synthesized ligands were docked using three different docking strategies; High throughput virtual screening, Standard Precision and Extra Precision docking strategies. After three different analyses, the docking scores of the synthesized compounds were found to be in the range of -8.221 to –6.342 Kcal mol-1. Finally the compounds are shortlisted based on the visual inspection of the amino acids interaction.Keywords

SIRT3 is one of the major mitochondrial deacetylase and has been shown to regulate the activity of many mitochondrial proteins. The sirt3 gene is observed in various human cancers. Sirutin gene family is hypothesized to regulate the aging process and plays a role in cellular repair. Expression of a single oncogene in sirt3 mouse embryonic fibroblasts results in in vitro transformation and altered intracellular metabolism. The crystal structure of SIRT3 with acetylated Acetyl CoA Synthatase2 peptide has been obtained to show that SIRT3 can form a stable complex with the substrate peptide in the absence of NAD+. Virtual screening of the compound was carried out by using Glide module of Schrodinger, LLC. Final shortlisting of hit molecules were performed based on visual inspection of important amino acid interactions in the active site cavity, docking scores and the hydrogen bonds involved in binding. The active site of the protein was validated and the Grid was generated with the active site of the protein. The docking score of the protein with the original ligand was found to be -9.836 kcal mol-1. The compounds were sent for three rounds of docking strategies from HTVS with the criteria of docking score were further docked using Glide SP (Standard precision) docking module and Filtered ligands were subjected to Glide XP docking analysis. The resulted compounds with docking scores were found to be in the range of -8.970 to -4.292 kcal mol-1. Compound Benzilic acid possessed good docking score with related to the reference ligand and it also possess the cancer cell toxic nature with the inhibition of 64.18% at 50 μg/ml concentration.Keywords

Coconut inflorescence sap (neera) is the sweet, oysterwhite coloured sap collected from the immature coconut spadix (inflorescence). It is a natural health drink and a rich source of sugars, proteins, minerals, antioxidants and vitamins. Besides being used as a nutritional drink, it is used as raw material for value-added products like natural coconut sugar, palm syrup, jaggery and honey, which have high potential in domestic and international markets. Frequent price fluctuations of major products like nut, copra, oil, etc., call for product diversification in coconut farming. Hence neera/coconut inflorescence sap provides a huge opportunity for higher income to the coconut farmers, making coconut farming a profitable venture. In neera tapping, many factors have to be considered to obtain economic benefit. This review covers some of the factors influencing the neera quantity and quality. This information will help researchers plan research strategies to improve the sap characteristics for commercial utilization.Keywords
