Abstract

The Internet-based security Soft-i-Robot is modeled using Soft computing paradigms for problem solving and decision-making in complex and ill-structured situations. Soft-i-Robot monitors the workspace with multimedia devices and sensor using an Internet application program. The model has sensory subsystems such as Intruder detection which, detects intruder, captures image and sends to server, and an Obstacle Avoidance Unit to detect the objects in the path of the mobile robot. These multiple features with hybrid Soft computing techniques depart the developed Soft-i-Robot from the existing developments, proving that the streaming technology-based approach greatly improves the sensibility of robot tele-operation. The relatively powerful online robots available today provoke the simple question, in terms of two competing goals: recognition accuracy and computing time. Improved recognition accuracy and reduced computing time for face recognition of the intruder is obtained using Morphological Shared Weight Neural Network. To obtain a collision-free optimized path, Soft-i-Robot uses derivative free Genetic Algorithm. With rapid expansion of Robotics and Soft computing paradigms, robotic technology touches upon self-understanding of humans, socio-economic, legal and ethical issues leading to improved performance rate and information processing capabilities.

Abstract

Objectives: This article is aimed at providing a detailed design of a 250 W AC series motor. Analytical design of the motor is performed to determine the armature winding design, commutator diameter, magnetic circuit analysis. The motor is simulated to estimate its performance. Methods/Statistical Analysis: To estimate the performance of the motor, the motor is simulated and finite element analysis is implemented to determine the flux density, electromagnetic torque under different operating speeds. The results of magnetic circuit design and commutator design are used in the finite element method to simulate the motor accurate to practical conditions. Form the obtained results the losses are determined. Findings: The results obtained include the flux density plot and the electromagnetic torque for different speeds. From the obtained results the performance of the motor is evaluated and the losses are tabulated. Applications/Improvements: The motor is designed to run a washing machine. Other general applications of the motor are mixers, drilling machines, vacuum cleaners, water sprinklers.

Abstract

Passenger satisfaction is a key performance indicator for airport operations. International airports located in different regions or countries by and large do not compete with one another. Passengers often do not have no choice between airports, regardless of price and quality levels of airport service. In other words, the airport industry is also changing rapidly. Today’s air travelers have meaningful choices among airports and there is an increasing urgency among airport marketers to differentiate themselves by meeting the needs of customers better than the competition. To measure passenger perceptions of airport services quality to benchmark performance metrics directly from the “voice” of the customer, to identify opportunities for service and ground operation improvement and to avoid losing valuable passenger traffic. There many segments of airport users, from luxury to budget, and frequent business flyers to holiday travelers. Each may have different needs and the airport must find a way to meet those needs. The development of air transport has increased the demand for airport services and the need for more efficient processes of servicing aircraft, passengers or luggage. The main purpose of the study is to know about the air transportation, its services and the customer expectations then how to improve the airport service for who use the air transportation.
