Wireless sensor network plays major role in military surveillance, nuclear power plants, and forest fire detection. Many routing techniques and cryptographic methods were applied to secure the network, which proved inefficient in practice. Data is transmitted from source to destination either by single hop or multihop routing. In this paper the threats that are encountered while using multi hop routing in WSN is discussed. The attacks were mainly due to the identity of nodes a this paper deals majorly with sink hole attack, wormhole and Sybil attacks. To overcome these attacks due to deception, a protocol named TARF, trust aware routing protocol framework is implemented. It is considered to be an energy efficient and trust worthy protocol. The resilience of this protocol is evaluated through empirical experiments and simulations on large WSN under various network conditions. TARF produces less overhead in the network.TARF proves to be more effective in securing network by identifying the malicious nodes and by preventing it to be used while transmission of data.

With the binary system of numeration, the speed of arithmetic operations square measure restricted by formation and propagation of the carry. Mistreatment quaternary signed digit (QSD) system of numeration each carry free addition and borrow free subtraction are often achieved. The QSD system of numeration needs a special set of prime modulo based mostly logic for arithmetic operations. Employing a high base system of numeration like Quaternary Signed Digit, a carry free operation are often achieved. Arithmetic Operations like addition and subtraction for giant numbers like sixty four and 128 are often computed while not the propagation of carry mistreatment QSD system of numeration. Style is simulated and analyzed mistreatment 13.2 ISE machine.

Mobile ad hoc networks have inherently different properties than traditional wired networks. These new characteristics present different security vulnerabilities and this paper provides a detailed classification of these threats. Threats exist to a mobile ad hoc network both from external nodes unauthorised to participate in the mobile ad hoc networks, and from internal nodes, which have the authorisation credentials to participate in the mobile ad hoc network. Internal nodes giving rise to threats can be further divided according to their behaviour — failed, badly failed, selfish and malicious nodes. Failed and selfish nodes are those which do not perform certain operations that the protocol spec- ifies that they should, the former due to some unfore seen failure and the latter due to selfishness to conserve power. Badly failed nodes may perform operations incorrectly, introducing false and misleading information into the network. Malicious nodes may deliberately disrupt the network using a variety of attacks. All categories of node behaviour should be considered when designing protocols for mobile ad hoc networks. Keywords

In many on-line applications, the range of content that is offered to users is so wide that a requirement for automatic recommender systems arises. Such systems will give a personalized selection of relevant things to users. In practice, this may facilitate people realize fun movies, boost sales through targeted advertisements, or facilitate social network users meet new friends.
To produce correct personalized recommendations, recommender systems depend on detailed personal information on the preferences of users. Ratings, consumption histories and personal profiles are examples. Recommender systems are useful, but the privacy risks associated in aggregation and process personal information are typically underestimated or neglected. Many users are not sufficiently aware if and the way a lot of their information is collected, if such information is sold-out to third parties or how securely it is saved and for how long.
This paper aims to provide insight into privacy in recommender systems. First, we shall discuss different varieties of existing recommender systems. Second, an overview of the data that is employed in recommender systems is given. Third, I analyze the associated risks to information privacy. Finally, relevant research areas for privacy-protection techniques and their relevancy to recommender systems are mentioned.

The area of microstrip antennas has seen some inventive work in recent years and is one of the most dynamic fields of antenna theory. The ever increasing need for mobile communication and the emergence of newer technologies require an efficient design of antenna of smaller size for wider frequency range applications such as Wi-Max. The main aim of this paper is increase the impedance bandwidth of the microstrip patch antenna. A low profile wideband unequal E-shaped microstrip patch antenna for Wi-Max application is proposed in this paper .This proposed antenna is made by using the microstrip feeding method. Its bandwidth is further increased by introducing composite effect of stacking of patches with partial grounding. The antenna is designed and simulated by three-dimensional electromagnetic field software HFSS'12.The properties of the antenna such as bandwidth, S parameter, VSWR have been investigated. Keywords

Nanotechnology is a fast growing and emerging new technology in recent years due to their extensive application. In current scenario, chemically induced synthesis of silver nanoparticles has played a significant role. In this study silver nanoparticles were produced in de-ionized water and dimethyl sulphoxide (DMSO) using D-galactose as reducing agent at 80°C. Silver nitrate (AgNO3) was employed as the metal precursor for the synthesis of silver nanoparticles (Ag-NPs). D-galactose acted as reducing agent for the conversion of silver salts into silver ions under experimental condition. The formation of nanoparticles and Plasmon resonance kinetic energy was determined by UV - visible spectroscopy. The de-ionized water solution of D-galactose was better reductive activity in 400nm whereas DMSO solution of D-galactose in 350nm. The produced nanoparticles were subjected to perform antimicrobial efficacy against selected pathogens. D-galactose induced silver nanoparticles produced in de-ionized water exhibited higher antimicrobial activity against bacterial pathogens. Among the pathogens tested Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Salmonella paratyphi A showed maximum antibacterial activity. No activity was observed towards yeast Candida albicans. In conclusion D-galactose mediated silver nanoparticles using de-ionized water could be cost effective and eco-friendly technique for bulk production. The characterization studies are under progress to understand the size, shape and topography of the nanoparticles. Further biocompatibility and cytotoxicity studies are essential for pharmaceutical and biomedical applications. Keywords

In past couple of decades, there is immediate growth in field of agricultural technology. Utilization of proper method of irrigation by drip is very reasonable and proficient. A various drip irrigation methods have been proposed, but they have been found to be very luxurious and dense to use. The farmer has to maintain watch on irrigation schedule in the conventional drip irrigation system, which is different for different types of crops. In remotely monitored embedded system for irrigation purposes have become a new essential for farmer to accumulate his energy, time and money and will take place only when there will be requirement of water. In this approach, the soil test for chemical constituents, water content, and salinity and fertilizer requirement data collected by wireless and processed for better drip irrigation plan. This paper reviews different monitoring systems and proposes an automatic monitoring system model using Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) which helps the farmer to improve the yield. Keywords
