Groundwater resources potential has been evaluated in Kurmapalli watershed, Andhra Pradesh, India using Geographic Information System (GIS) technique. It allows manipulation and analysis of individual layer of spatial data. It is used for analyzing and modeling the interrelationship between the layers. Various thematic maps have been prepared for geology, geomorphology, slope, drainage-density and lineaments of the study area using GIS technique. These thematic maps have been integrated with the help of GIS. Appropriate weightage has been assigned to various factors controlling occurrence of groundwater to assess the total groundwater potential in each segment of the study area. The results show that there are five categories of groundwater potential ranging from very good to poor. The categorizations of groundwater potential zones are in general agreement with the available yield data of the 438 existing dug wells, bore wells and tube wells. This depicts the favourable prospective zones in the study area for evaluation of groundwater potential. Keywords

The cesium bearing aplite and pegmatite in the southern slope of Belamu hill occur in association with calc-Silicate and granite gneiss country rocks of Chhotanagpur Gneissic Complex (CGC). The hydrothermal units are highly peraluminous and tectonically disturbed in which, cesium is mainly incorporated within pollucite and Li-Muscovite Rb/Sr shows sympathetic relationship with cesium having a strong correlation towards the higher end for both aplite and pegmatite. Cesium resource evaluation by ground survey and shallow drilling has been done for aplite and pegmatite. Reserves and grades established for both aplite and pegmatite have shown concoidance with the statistical laws of distribution, suggestive of productive output. Keywords

Bluetooth is a low cost, short-range radio technology, originally developed as a cable replacement to connect devices such as mobile handsets, headsets and portable computers. This technology has standardized wireless communications between electronic devices. It has created the notion of a Personal Area Network (PAN) approved by IEEE as 802.15.1 standard, a kind of close range wireless network that looks set to revolutionize the way people interact with the information technology landscape around them.
Sun Microsystems developed Java2 Micro Edition (J2ME) for compatibility with mobile devices, which includes class definitions to make it possible for the programmers to design software according to the necessity, which is compatible with Bluetooth device. Connected Limited Device Configuration (CLDC) devices have slow processors and limited memory, operate on batteries, and have only intermittent network connections. To support CLDC devices J2ME also includes Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP) provides the java runtime environment. The paper presents implementation of Bluetooth file transfer profile using java. The implementation is done using J2SE and use Object Exchange (OBEX) protocol as well as Radio Frequency Communication (RFCOMM) protocol.
