Adolescence is a period of dynamic changes in physical growth, sexual and psychological development. These changes are influenced by genetic as well as environmental factors of which nutrition is an important factor. The growth period is mainly influenced by the nutrient availability. At this stage, adolescents require large amounts of nutrients to support their accelerated growth. Suboptimum nutrient intake will adversely affect the growth rate which will lead to poor performance in their later life.- Nutritional Status of Tribal Adolescent Girls of Dhar District of Madhya Pradesh
