A field experiment was carried out during 2010 and 2011 seasons on seven year old Sharbati cultivar of peach, growing in clay loam soil. The experiment was laid out in randomized block designed to study the effect of foliar spraying of boron, zinc and iron and its combination on fruit growth pattern, yield and yield attributing characters of the low-chill peach. Boric acid (0.1%), zinc sulphate (0.5%) and ferrous sulphate (0.5%) were used as a source of boron, zinc and iron, respectively. All the trees were fertilized with same NPK dose as per recommendation. The spraying was done twice; during last week of February, i.e., after petal fall stage and again at 15 days after the first spraying during both years in three replicates. The result revealed that foliar spraying of peach trees with 0.1 % H3BO3 + 0.5 % ZnSO4, 7H2O + 0.5 % FeSO4, 7H2O was the promising treatment for improvement of fruit growth, fruit length, fruit diameter, fruit volume and firmness of the fruit. This treatment was also found best for maximum fruit retention, average fruit weight as well as the fruit yield.Keywords

A 42 year old with primary infertility over 2 years with poor ovarian reserve (AMH 0.02) with an Oligoastheno-terato-zoospermia had 3 attempts of embryo transfer with her own egg. USG showed a heterotopic pregnancy with fundal 5-6 weeks intrauterine gestational sac with a cervical ectopic with small subchorionic collection along with posterior uterine wall. Despite embryo reduction, it still showed a persistent heterotopic pregnancy with an increasing subchorionic collection in the cervical canal. There was PROM at 27 weeks and under adequate antibiotic and steroid cover, classical caesarean section was done. Due to an adherent cervical pregnancy remnant, bilateral internal iliac artery ligation with an obstetric hysterectomy was done. As few cases exist in literature, there are no specific and no universally accepted treatment modality for heterotopic cervical pregnancy and treatment depends on experience, equipment of medical team and maternal conditions.Keywords

The effectiveness of oil-based conidia formulations of indigenous fungal isolates Metarhizillm anisopliae M34412, Beallveria bassiana 83301 and Nomuraea rileyi N812 were evaluated against Helicoverpa armigera (Hubner) infestation on pigeon pea under field conditions. The M. allisopliae M34412 conidia in the oil formulation (7:3, diesel: Sunflower oil) were found to be most effective in controlling H. armigera. The results were compared with other control agents such as, endosulfan and HaNPV (H. armigera Nuclear Polyhedrosis Virus). The per cent efficacies were, .W. anisopliae,/i> 66.74, endosulfan 62.58, N. rileyi 60.88 and HaNPV 55.58. B. bassiana preparation was found to be relatively less effective (51.25% efficacy). The effectiveness of all the control agents based on per cent pod damage and yield has also been discussed.Keywords

In recent years, adaptive filtering has become one of the effective and popular approaches for the processing and analysis of the signals with noise especially of the biomedical signals. Adaptive filters permit to detect time varying potentials and to track the dynamic variations of the signals. Besides, they modify their behavior according to the input signal. Therefore, they can detect shape variations in the ensemble and thus they can obtain a better signal estimation. The aim of this paper is to study, analyze various adaptive filter algorithms and apply Mat lab to investigate their performance behaviors with two step sizes of 0.02 and 0.04. Further to remove motion artifacts from Electrocardiogram signal as an application of this concepts. At the end of this paper, a performance study has been done between these algorithms based on various step sizes. It has been found that there will be always tradeoff between step sizes and Mean square error. The Electrocardiogram signals used in this paper are from the MIT-BIH database. Elimination of noises from Electrocardiogram signal example is a classical problem.Keywords

Technologies have advanced rapidly in the field of digital signal processing due to advances made in high speed, low cost digital integrated chips. These technologies have further stimulated ever increasing use of signal representation in digital form for purposes of transmission, measurement, control and storage. Design of digital filters especially adaptive or semi adaptive is the necessity of the hour for SAR applications. The aim of this research work is to design and evaluate the performance of 380-400 KHz Bartlett, Blackman and Chebyshev digital semi adaptive filters. XILINX and MATLAB software are used for designing of these filters. As part of practical research work these designs were translated using FPGA hardware SPARTAN-3E kit. Blackman and Chebyshev filters designed using software and hardware were tested by a sinusoidal test signal of 381 KHz along with noise and the filtered output signals are presented. These designs were optimized, analyzed, compared and evaluated keeping the sampling frequency at 5 MHz for 64 orders.Keywords

Technologies have advanced rapidly in the design of filters to enhance effectiveness of Signal to Noise Ratio for mobile communications including SAR applications. In this research work Butter worth active band pass filter for 2 to 6 GHz was designed using XILINX and MATLAB software’s. This was optimized, analyzed and evaluated keeping the sampling frequency at 48 GHz and Kiser window for 0.5 Beta. Further to verify the simulated results hardware circuitry is also designed based on SPARTAN-3 FPGA–development kit. Asb) part of this research work 7-9 KHz Butter worth active band pass filter was designed using active components which was put into circuit, tested by passing a sinusoidal test signal along with noise and the filtered output signals are presented. Based on these experimental results conclusions have been drawn for 2 to 6 GHz filter for SAR applications. It is observed that when signals are received with heavy noise the coefficients of filters are selected in such way that the noise content can be minimized to great extent.Keywords

Introduction and Background: Commoncold is one of the most frequently encountered disease in clinical practice. Though self-limiting, it accounts for major loss of work and school days so symptomatic therapy to treat the symptoms is often employed. A combination of Paracetamol, an antipyeretic/anti-inflammatory, Phenylephrine, a nasal decongestant and Chlorpheniramine maleate, an anti-histaminic is popular in the treatment of common cold. This Phase IV study evaluated the efficacy and safety of a combination of Paracetamol, Phenylephrine and Chlorpheniramine maleate in treatment of common cold. Methodology -Of 216 enrolled, 187 patients completed the study. Efficacy assessment was made by reduction in TSS and four point Likert-type scales. Safety assessment was made by analyzing the adverse events during trial. Results -Reductionin TSS from 6.58 (baseline) to 3.76 (day 3) and 1.78 (day 5). One point reduction in Likert-type symptom scale from Moderate to Mild took just 3 days. Nearly all the patients had >50% reduction in symptom score at all visit and majority of patients had complete relief from the symptom. 31 episodes of adverse events occurred and were of mild intensity. Conclusion - A combination of Paracetamol, Phenylephrine and Chlorpheniramine maleate is safe and effective in the treatment of common cold.Keywords

The aim of this study was measuring the concentration of various ambient air pollutants in different seasons. During Jan 2013 – December 2013, concentration of Respirable Suspended Particulate Matter (RSPM) and Suspended Particulate Matter (SPM) were collected over successive period of eight hours at three sites. High volume air sampler was used to measure the concentration of Respirable Suspended Particulate Matter (RSPM) and suspended particulate matter (SPM). The results reported pertain to an eight hour successive preliminary air sampling exercise carried out at each of the two select locations i.e. Industrial area and Sensitive area in Ujjain City. Criteria pollutants RSPM and SPM measured are found to have either crossed or on the average of crossing the limits, necessitating the immediate installation of a continuous monitoring and control mechanism. While transport related emissions are the major sources of air contamination, increasing civil construction activities also contribute to particulates. The exponential rise in volume of vehicles, disadvantageous traffic flow pattern, differing driving cycle pattern and human interceptions deserve due attention. The concentrations of some of the pollutants were exceeded the National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) at different locations.
