Impatiens sashinborthakurii, a new species from Meghalaya, northeast India is described and illustrated. The new species is easily distinguished from its allied taxa by its alternate leaves, axillary fascicled, bicolored, white and purple flowers and bucciniform lower sepal with curved spur.Keywords

To facilitate its easy identification, detailed description and coloured illustrations from live materials are provided along with the conservation status of the species.
