Abstract

Eucalyptus citriodora Hook. was introduced in the shelterbelt zone in traditional plantations of CasuQrina equisetijolia L. The plantations were raised in 3 ha through the coastal Vana Samrakshana Samithi at Chippada in Visakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh. Mixed plantations of the two species were tried in two independent blocks adopting 3 × 3 m and 2.5 × 2.5 m spacings separately. In addition, monospecific plantation of E. citriodora was tried independently in 2 × 2 m spacing. Striking difference could not be noticed in the yield of essential oil from E. citriodora obtained from the three kinds of spacings employed. However, mixed plantation with 2.5 × 2.S m spacing gave relatively better oil yield than the other two spacings. Average essential oil yield from the entire plantation area of 3 ha during each quarter from the third year onwards was 2.334 L priced at ' 300/- kg. The timber yield from C. equisetifolia on their attaining commercially exploitable size after five years was approxi mated to be 30 m³.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to enhance sports performance: the objective is to analyse the effect of aquatic training with and without weight on selected physiological variables among volleyball players. To achieve this 60 physically active and interested undergraduate engineering volleyball players are selected as subjects and their age ranged between 18 and 20 years. The subjects are categorized into three groups randomly viz. Control group (CG), Aquatic training with weight group (ATWG), Aquatic training without weight group (ATWOG) and each group comprises of 20 subjects. Control group was not exposed to any training. Both experimental groups underwent their respective experimental treatment for 12 weeks, 3 days per week and a session on each day. Breath holding time, resting pulse rate were taken as variables for this study. The collected data was analyzed using analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) and Scheffee's post hoc test. The result reveals significant differences in all the selected physiological variables among ATWG and ATWOG pointing towards the use of aquatic training for performance improvement.

Abstract

One way to protect organizations from malware is to deploy high-speed network based intrusion detection systems on the communication lines. This approach is achieved by P-DPL. Such appliances perform deep-packet inspection in real- time and use simple signatures for detecting and removing attacks such as malware, propagating worms, denial-of-service, or remote exploitation of vulnerabilities. P-DPL is primarily intended for high-speed network traffic filtering devices that are based on deep-packet inspection. Malicious executables are analyzed using two approaches: disassembly, utilizing IDA-Pro, and the application of a dedicated state machine in order to obtain the set of functions comprising the executables. The signature extraction process is based on a comparison with a common function repository. By eliminating functions appearing in the common function repository from the signature candidate list, P-DPL can minimize the risk of false-positive detection errors. To minimize false-positive rates even further, P-DPL proposes intelligent candidate selection using an entropy score to generate signatures.

Abstract

Objectives: This work is an attempt to present commercially used designs and analyze it to compare the impact behavior of each design of bumper beams during head-on collisions Methods/Statistical Analysis: In order to avoid series of destructive test for a new vehicle to be performed the necessity of economical design using finite element is performed in this study. Parameters like materials, shape and thickness are considered for carrying out analysis with the help of Hypermesh 9.0 and LS-DYNA software Findings: The main criterion to be discussed is energy absorbing Behavior of bumper beams during headon collisions. Analysis is carried out upto 20 millisecond. Results for different Designs and for varying thickness are obtained and compared to study the impact Behavior of beams under study. Impact behavior of Bumper beam is analyzed based on energy absorption of the beam and the displacement condition. Maximum nodal displacement is obtained for different thickness and materials and plotted over the period of time Application/Improvements: Experimental setup has to be developed for the testing of the model under crashes and to be analysed at operating condition.

Abstract

The Simple, precise and economical UV method have been developed and validated for the quantitative for the estimation of Eletriptan hydrobromide in bulk and pharmaceutical dosage forms. Eletriptan hydrobromide is dissolve in the water and It shows absorbance maxima at 219 nm, Beer's law was found to be obeyed in the concentration range of 5-25 μg/mL. The developed method was validated according to ICH guidelines and was found to be accurate and precise. The proposed method can be successfully applied for the estimation of Eletriptan hydrobromide in bulk and pharmaceutical dosage forms. Results of the analysis were validated statistically and by recovery studies.

Abstract

Learning Improvement for student is a Massive challenge for Every Engineering Institution. Now a days employers are demanding engineering graduates with skills. So, identifying required improvements of learning skill-gaps, barriers of utilizing students supporting facilities are the huge challenges based on attainment of Graduate Attributes outlined by Washington accord. This work aims to identify student requirements to achieve graduate attributes. This study focuses on assessing the extent to which students perceive that opportunity is available for grooming their learning enhancement and the extent of its usage. Research instruments were developed (separately for faculty and students) to collect data. Questionnaire Based Data collection was used in this work. AHP to multiple criteria decision making for prioritizing students requirements. From this proposed method, the necessary improvements are identified to achieve the Graduate Attributes in classroom at an engineering institution. Using Saatty Scale integrating AHP with QFD Can help to prioritize Process Improvements. This works helps to suggest more key development aspects to enhance the quality of learning and increasing Productivity in an engineering education institution.
