Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET), is a self-configuring infra structure less network of mobile devices Connected by wireless links. ad hoc is Latin and means "for this purpose". Each device in a MANET is free to move independently in any direction, and will therefore change its links to other devices frequently. QOS is defined as a set of service requirements to be met by the network while transporting a packet stream from source to destination. Intrinsic to thenotion of QOS is an agreement or a guarantee by the network to provide a set of measurable pre-specified service attributesto the user in terms of delay, jitter, available bandwidth, packet loss, and so on. In this paper we are presenting two mobile ad-hoc routing protocols DSDV and AODV. Here the DSDV is a proactive protocol depending on routing tables which are maintained at each node. The AODV is a reactive protocol, which find a route to a destination on demand, whenever communication is needed. Considering the bandwidth, throughput and packet loss, in both DSDV and AODV routing protocols, DSDV is best suited for only smaller networks and AODV is suited for general Ad-hoc networks. Keywords

Speech is the main communication medium in Human beings. Speech recognition has many applications. It can be used to automate many tasks that previously required hands-on human interaction. Many speech recognition systems have been proposed and developed. Sphinx4 is one such system developed in Java for recognizing English. In this paper how speech recognition is done is presented briefly and then sphinx4 architecture is explained. This paper aims at installing sphinx4 and testing it. Sphinx4 was used to develop applications for Telugu. This is done by identifying the language dependent areas of the sphinx4 and their interactions with other parts of the system and then modifying these areas so that it works for Telugu. Static Dictionary for Telugu words is developed rather than using online ‘lmtool’ of CMU. Sphinx4 was adapted to train and decode for recognizing isolated Telugu words. Continuing in a similar manner, a speech recognition system for Telugu can be developed. Keywords

There has always been a closed association between plants and human beings through ancient time and till date. Physalis angulata is an annual herb indigenous to many parts of the tropics, including the Amazon. It can be found on most continents in the tropics, including Africa, Asia, and the Americas. It grows up to 1 m high, bears small, cream-colored flowers, and produces small, light yellowish-orange, edible fruit sometimes referred to as Cutleaf Groundcherry. It is a popular medicine used due to its anti inflammatory effects, anti tumor effects, immunomodulatory effects etc. The present study is to evaluate the anti bacterial and anti platelet activity of the ethanolic leaf extract of Physalis angulata. From the phytochemical screening it was found that the plant is mainly constituted with phenols, steroids and flavonoids .The anti bacterial activity was performed by well diffusion method on various concentrations of the extract. Gentamycin was used as the standard and ethanol as the control. In the antiplatelet activity study, the platelet was induced using adenosine di phosphate. Nephlometer was used to observe the aggregation. It was observed that the ethanolic leaf extract showed pronounced anti platelet activity. But the anti bacterial activity was found to be false positive.
