Abstract

Diabetes mellitus, long considered a disease of minor significance to world health, is now emerging as one of the main threats to human health in the 21^st century. In the Indian scenario, the World Health Organisation has estimated a sharp upswing in the number of diabetics from 19.4 million in 1995 to an expected 57.2 million by 2025.

Abstract

In Data mining clustering is one of the important tools. Several research areas clustering is to be used and it describe the method for grouping the data. Describes the K-Means clustering algorithm and it has used the best validity index (Calinski index) for the attribute selection, having the value of the validity index as fitness function. Calinski index is to find the best number of clusters for the whole data set. The method is to study the maximum value max_k of i_k (where k is the number of clusters and i_k is the Calinski index value for k clusters). Number of cluster can be calculated by using Calinski index values along with NMF. The rand index value and the accuracy for the Calinski value is obtained, which proves that rand index value and accuracy is better than the existing clusters.

Abstract

Target oriented Public Distribution System (PDS) of foodgrains are important policy measures used to supply foodgrains. Inorder to make foodgrains available to the weaker and vulnerable sections of the society at subsidized rates Government has setup a vast net work of fair price and ration shops where some essential commodities can be received on the production of ration cards. The PDS is an important measure to tackle the inflationary trends that is to keep prices under check, reduce price fluctuations, and ensure supply of essential commodities at reasonable rates particularly to the weaker sections of the society.

Abstract

Women constitute 53 per cent of world's population. They put in nearly two thirds of human hours, receive one tenth of the world's income and own one hundredth of world's property. It was estimated that in India working women constitute about 12 per cent of total population and this trend is on the increase. Studies among the rural households in India on work pattern though few, indicate that rural women work longer hours than men and women put in the same number of hours but expend more total energy in the task they do. According to Satyaleela the women face dual stress and conflicting demands of work in and outside the home adverse effect on maternal and child health and nutritional status of children.
