Dynamic response analysis of a cracked rotor is attempted. The breathing of crack is accounted using the response dependent breathing crack model. Breathing behavior of the cracked rotor is analyzed and the effects of various parameters on the peak response variation and response of the cracked rotor is studied using time domain and frequency domain and plots. The influence of the presence of transverse cracks in a rotating shaft is analyzed. The crack has opening and closing on dynamic response during operation in the rotor. Initially a simple Jeffcott rotor is analyzed considering the lateral vibration. The dynamic response of the rotor with a breathing crack is evaluated by expanding the changing stiffness of the crack using FEM. and this approach is also based on the fact that the presence of a crack in rotating shaft reduces the stiffness of the structure. This method is applied to compute various parametric studies including the effects of the crack depth and location on the dynamic of a cracked rotor. By using MATLAB commands 'bode', the magnitude for given frequency range is obtained. Also, the Frequency response function is plotted by using command 'loglog'.- Old Age Security and Fertility in Rural Andhra Pradesh, India

This paper presents the results of comparative study of old age security value in rural Andhra Pradesh, India. The research hypothesis is that the lower the dependence of seniors on social security provided by children, the lower their fertility level. The results are based on interviews of 600 males aged 60 years and above comprising of 300 pensioners and 300 non-pensioners. The findings reveal that overwhelming proportions of non-pensioners expect support from children and rely to a great deal on them than their counter-parts (pensioners). Thus lower socio-economic status may be one of the main factors for high perceived old age security value of children, This study clearly supports the research hypothesis. Keywords

This Paper will explain the concept of creating Graphical User Interface to access different reservation websites like www.irctc.co.in, www.bookmyshow.com, www.apsrtconline.in, www.easymoviesindia.com etc. This GUI1 can be connected to any reservation website i.e. available on the internet as a result any type of reservation can be done using single interface. All types of reservations can be done very easily, since the user need not remember any website. User has to enter the website into GUI only once. This GUI is not only restricted to reservation websites, user can also add the web sites that are frequently used. This software is developed using java as front end.
