Abstract

Wireless systems are most important factors to get hold of faultless roaming and services connection in Heterogeneous Wireless Networks. So it is essential to have a handoff scheme with the aim of takes into account the heterogeneity of the network. In this effort we suggest a handoff scheme which takes handoff choice adaptively based on the type of network it currently resides and the one it is attempting handoff by way of through a number of predefined rules. It moreover relies on the velocity of the mobile workstation to create a conclusion of the handoff initiation received signal strength (RSS) threshold value. As a final point simulations have been complete to show the significance of taking these factors into account for handoff decisions relatively than having a permanent threshold value of handoff for dissimilar scenarios.

Abstract

Now a day Internet only provides Best Effort Service. Traffic is processed as earliest as possible, but there is no assurance of timelines or real delivery. With the fast transformation of the Internet into a commercial infrastructure, demands for service quality have quickly developed. People of the current world are very much dependent on various network services like VOIP, Videoconferencing and File Transfer. Different types of Traffic Management systems are used in those services. Queuing is one of the very important mechanisms in traffic management system. Each router in the network must implement some queuing discipline that governs how packets are buffered while waiting to be transmitted. This paper gives a comparative analysis of three queuing systems FIFO, PQ and WFQ. The study has been carried out on some issues like: Traffic dropped Traffic Received and packet end to end delay and the simulation results shows that WFQ technique has a better-quality than the other techniques.

Abstract

Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is a modulation technique which is now used in broadband wired and wireless communication systems. OFDM is also a promising technology for optical communications. This paper gives the major drawbacks of optical OFDM and methods to minimize them. The main drawbacks of OFDM are its high Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) and its sensitivity to phase noise and frequency offset. In this paper, five novel schemes based on greedy algorithm are proposed to reduce the PAPR in OFDM systems.

Abstract

The efficacy of using probiotic preparations of the yogurt type was studied in 136 patients with lymphogranulomatosis, suffering from intestinal dysbiosis while taking antibiotic therapy and polychemotherapy (BEACOPP-II protocol). It was found that probiotics of this type are highly effective for the treatment of dysbiotic disorders of the intestines in cancer and hematological patients. Their use significantly reduces the risk of complications such as an unpleasant aftertaste in the mouth, belching, heartburn, diarrhea, constipation, flatulence, discomfort or periodic abdominal pain. It is recommended that prolonged therapy with a probiotic of the yogurt type be used in these groups of patients.
