A recent search for plant fossils from the East Coast Gondwana sediments of Tamil Nadu has revealed a number of new occurrences. They include Taeniopteris cf. lata, Sphenopteris sp., from the Terani beds from Terani, Tiruchirapally district and Pterophyllum sp., Ptilophyllum acutifolium, Cladophlebis indica, Gingkoites cf. rajmahalensis, Actinopteris sp., from the Sivaganga formations of Ramnad district.
The age of the East Coast Gondwana is reviewed in the light of the recent K-Ar dating of the Rajmahal traps assigning an Aptian age to the lower part of the Rajmahal traps. There is no contradiction in the ages assignable to the coastal Gondwana on the basis of plant and animal fossils.

The paper records the occurrence of a stegosaurian dinosaur with partial skull, tooth, sacrum, pelvic elements, armour plates and spike, from the marine Cretaceous rocks' of the Trichinopoly Group, Tamil Nadu. The bed yielding the dinosaurian fossils is assigned Coniacian age on the basis of rich ammonoid fauna which includes Kossmaticeras theobaldianum. The dinosaur is described as a new genus and species Dravidosaurus blanfordi. The stratigraphic and palaeontological significance of this report in indicating the survival of armoured dinosaurs till the close' of Mesozoic in the southern part of India is discussed.- Goniomya from the Trichinopoly Group, Upper Cretaceous, Tamil Nadu

The note records the presence of a new Pholadomyid lamellibranch belonging to Goniomya from the Upper Cretaceous rocks of Tamil Nadu. The form is assignable to the subgenus Goniomya and is described as a new species Goniomya (Goniomya) stoliczkai. Systematic description and the stratigraphic distribution of this new species is presented.- Genus Anisomyon (Gastropoda) from the Cretaceous of Southern India

A new species of the patelliform gastropod genus Anisomyon is reported for the first time from the Indian Cretaceous sediments. Its occurrence, palaeoecology and stratigraphic importance are discussed. A stereopair photograph of this important fossil is given for better resolution.- Unusual Preservation of a Cretaceous Turtle Fossil

A new Cretaceous pachydiscid ammonoid genus Raoceras, with the type species Ammonites Kuluturensis Stoliczka, is proposed. The Genus is restricted to the Coniacian. Its affinity with other pachydiscid ammonoid genera, the associated fossils in the field and its stratigraphic status are given. The known pachydiscid species in various marine Cretaceous basins of India are listed and correlated. Keywords
