The attrition rate is giving sleepless nights to Human Resource Managers in many countries in Asia. This paper attempts at finding the probable reasons for attrition at Garment Export Houses, Tirupur. The attrition rate in the industry has been hovering around 35%, which is quite high for any industry. The high attrition costs increase the costs to the organization considerably. The purpose of this research was to discover the reasons why personnel leave before becoming eligible for retirement, as well as how the executive officer can and does influence retention and attrition rate within his or her company. This can be simply be summed up as a study aiming at exploring the dimensions of attrition and retention with respect to the organizational practices followed in the company. The study was based on various parameters like training, working hours, income, job satisfaction, rewards and recognition, promotion policy, workload, working condition, welfare schemes, compensation, performance appraisal, relationship with supervisors and management etc. The study aims to determine the reason for attrition and to develop retention strategies. The sample size of this study is 179, with a structured questionnaire. Simple percentage analysis, Weighted average score, and ANOVA test were used for the data analysis and interpretation. Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 16.0 was used for the statistical analysis. The study reveals that the employees have overall satisfaction with the organizational practices followed and facilities provided by the company. There were also a few areas of dissatisfaction which should be given special attention and relevant suggestions are also made to retain the employees within the organization. Keywords

Nowadays, researchers' preferably giving more attention to the power consumption of a sensor node as it is the main criteria in all Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). Wireless Sensor Nodes of a network have some major constraints due to their limited energy, storage capacity, computing power and frequent battery replacement factor, when they meant to collect the information from an unattended location using various sensors. Hence the proposed research implements a novel power management system by introducing pack of two solar powered batteries and an automatic battery switching system with LabVIEW based real time data acquisition. The proposed approach avoids the frequent replacement of batteries in the sensor node about 90%. Hill stations, barren region, and unattended location may include the implemented WSN.Keywords

In everywhere at level crossing between railroad and highway, there are so many railway accidents happening due to carelessness in manual operation or lack of workers. So, these papers describes the automatic railway gate control using microcontroller for human lives and preventing major problem in railway track. Railway gate may be saved for the road user to prevent accident in terms of train speed at level crossing. It can be divided into two parts. The first part is hardware development where all electronic components. IR sensors, inductive sensors are the input components. Buzzer, light Indicator, Motor, and LCD display are output components. These are controlled by the controller circuit. The Microcontroller forms the main unit of the system. It receives input signal from the sensors and sends information to the gate motor driver for opening and closing the gate. The Input Signal will active LCD Display and alarm and indication light circuit was provided as additional part of this system. The first inductive sensors and IR Sensors are fixed at a certain distance of a gate and the second sensors are fixed at the same certain distance after the gate. The gate is closed, when the train crosses the first IR sensors and the gate is opened, when the train crosses the second IR sensors. This system deals one of the most effective Method to avoid train accidents. The second part based on software programming to operate the hardware structures. Program for railway gate control is based on PIC Microcontroller with PIC basics pro Language. Keywords

Handwriting has continued to persist as a means of communication and recording information in day-to-day life even with the introduction of new technologies. Given its ubiquity in human transactions, machine recognition of handwriting has practical significance, as in reading handwritten notes in a personal Digital Assistant (PDA), in postal addresses on envelopes, in amounts in bank checks, in handwritten fields, in forms etc. To solve the problem of writer identification with intermediate classes (writers) and objects (characters), it is a good way to extract the features with clear physical meanings. The extracted features are in variant under translation scaling and stroke width. The off-line (which pertains to scanned images) is considered. Algorithms of preprocessing, character and word recognition, and performance with practical system are indicated. The recognition rate of Radial Basis Function (RBF) is found to be better compared to that of Back Propagation Network (BPN). The recognition rate in the proposed system lies between 90% to 100%.Keywords
