Range of plants and plant-derived products are used in folk medicine for the treatment of urolithiasis as a prophylactic agent or as curative agent. Most of them found to be effective, but still the complete mechanism of action of these herbal drugs remains to be unclear. In present review we are discussing the, Diagnosis and various mechanism of action through which phytotheraeupatic agents exert their antiurolithiatic effect. Unlike allopathic medicines which targets only one aspect of urolithiatic pathophysiology, most of plant based therapy have been shown to be effective at different stages of stone pathophysiology.
Only a few studies have suggested some evidence for the efficacy of herbal medicines, however, most are not evidence-based. Some preclinical research has proved the efficacy of some of these herbs in urolithiasis. Precise understandings of the pathophysiology of disease and mechanism of action of these herbal medicines have great importance in development of effective and safe antiurolithiatic agent. Herbal medicines is efficacious and has lesser side effects compared to modern medicines and also reduce the recurrence rate of renal stone (4). Although the complete mechanism of action of these remedies are lacking but, plant based phytotherapeutic agents represent the majority used in medicine for urolithiatic.

Medicinal herbs are the local heritage with global importance . Medicinal herbs have curative properties due to presence of various complex chem ical substance of different composition, which are found as secondary plant metabolite s in one or more parts of these plants. These plant metabolites according to t heir composition are grouped as alkaloids, glycosides, corticosteroids, essential oils etc. Euphorbia hirta, (family- Euphorbiaceae) is an herb found in many parts of the world. In Sanskrit it means ''Dugadhika'' According to the Doctrine of Signatures, the plant has a reputation for increasing milk flow in women, because of its milky latex, and is used for other female complaints as well as diseases of the respiratory tract. The plant has been reported as increase in urine output, antidiarrheal, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory etc.Keywords

Nanorobotics is emerging field of a nanotechnology having nanoscale dimensions and is predictable to work at an atomic, molecular and cellular level. Nanorobot skeleton is made up of carbon and its toolkit contains components like medicine cavity containing medicine, microcamera, payload, capacitor and swimming tail. As nanorobots have special sensors i.e. physical or chemical which detect the target molecules in the human body can be used for the diagnosis and treatment of various vital diseases i.e. cancer, diabetes, atherosclerosis, hemophilia, kidney stones, etc. Nanorobots till date are under the line of investigation, but some primary molecular models of these medically programmable machines have been tested. This review on nanorobots presents the various aspects allied i.e. introduction, history, ideal characteristics, Approaches in Nanorobotics ,basis for the development, tool kit recognition and retrieval from the body, application considering diagnosis and treatment.Keywords

Candesartan cilexetil is an antihypertensive drug, which exhibit poor water solubility, poor flowability and poor dissolution. The main aim of study was to improve the dissolution of Candesartan cilexetil. Spherical agglomerates containing Candesartan cilexetil were prepared by solvent change method. By using ternary phase diagram ratio of solvent addition was maintained. Drug was dissolved in solvent blend of methanol (good solvent), water (poor solvent), dichloromethane (bridging liquid). The formulated agglomerates were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), x-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and In-vitro dissolution studies. It was found that the B2 batch has shown better results with respect to all the parameters. Spherical agglomeration and crystallization process can be used to enhance water solubility, flowability and thereby dissolution.Keywords

Brine shrimp lethality assay is an important tool for preliminary assessment of cytotoxicity of herbal drugs. This method is used for the determination of LC50 values of herbal extracts. In this study, extract of Euphorbia hirta Linn and Euphorbia nerifolia Linn, which are reported in traditional literature for their anti-tumour activity, had been selected to test for brine shrimp lethality activity. This experimentation shows that the LC50 of ethyl acetate and acetone extract of Euphorbia hirta Linn and methanolic extract Euphorbia nerifolia Linn are found to be 71.15, 92.15 and 49.55ug/ml respectively.Keywords

Cajanus cajan Linn which is synonymous to cajanus indicus is given different names like Red Gram. Pigeon Pea, Congo Pea and "Tur" by the local people of India.
The plant is an erect shrub which grows height of 1.5 to 3 meters with many branches. The leaves are pinnately trifoliate and the leaflets are oblong-lanceolate and entire.
The analgesic potency of aqueous extract of the leaves of Cajanus cajan Linn.and CNS depressant activity was investigated using animal model. Result showed that aq. extract of Cajanus cajan Linn. increased pain threshold in mice using hot plate methods and CNS depressant activity in mice by using actophotometer model. It is concluded that the Aqueous extract of Cajanus cajan Linn. can demonstrate strong analgesic and CNS depressant potency comparable in a times and dose dependant manner to a non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and benzodiazepines drug respectively.

We here in explore scientifically the anthelmintic and laxative potential of traditionally used medicinal plants of India and substantiate the folklore claims. In present communication Crude aqueous extract of Euphorbia thymifolia Linn. (family: Euphorbiaceae) at doses 100 and 200 mg/kg was investigated for laxative activity according to Cappaso et al. in albino rats that were compared with standard drug agar-agar (300mg/kg, p.o.) in normal saline. The rats were fasted for 12 hours before the experiment. After 8 hours of drug administration the faeces were collected and weighed. The extract was found to produce significant laxative activity in dose dependant manner. Also the aqueous extracts of plant of Euphorbia thymifolia Linn. were investigated for their anthelmintic activity against Pheretima posthuma and Ascardia galli. Various concentrations were used in the bioassay, which involved paralysis and death time of the worms. Both the extracts showed significant anthelmintic activity.

The main objective of work was to develop pharmaceutically elegant and stable enteric coated tablet formulation for highly unstable drug in acidic environment using pH dependent polymer. Development of Enteric coated tablets were done for Controlled Release of drug. Coating was done by using methacrylic acid copolymer (Eudragit L 100). Characterization of Drug and Excipients was carried out including compatibility studies of drug and excipients. Solid dispersion of glimepiride was formulated using carrier PEG20000 was prepared by the Fusion method. Evaluation of Solid was carried out using suitable parameters like solubility, percentage yield, drug content, in-vitro drug release, FTIR and SEM. Further granules were formulated from the optimized batch of formulated SDs. Pre-compression studies of granules were carried out like Tapped density, Bulk density, Angle of repose, etc. of Granules. Four different batches were formulated of tablets. The tablets were evaluated for various parameters like weight variation, hardness, friability, thickness, disintegration and in-vitro drug release. For Dissolution studies, 7.4 phosphate buffer media was used. The optimized batch of tablets was further subjected to enteric coating using pan coating. Eudragit L100 was used as coating polymer and isopropyl alcohol, acetone and triethyl citrate were used as vehicle in solution. Eosine was used as colorant. The coating solution was prepared in three different concentrations viz., 1%, 2%, and 3%. The coating solution was sprayed on tablets using spray gun and after drying the tablets were evaluated for different parameters like in-vitro drug release and disintegration, Hardness, thickness, friability, drug content and weight variation. Here, as the tablet was enteric coated, 2 dissolution medias were used 7.4 phosphate buffer and 0.1 N HCl. Further Stability studies were carried out of optimized batch. Results obtained after the stability studies confirmed that prepared enteric coated tablets were stable at applied conditions and were complied with the initial results.Keywords
