Physico-chemical and microbial properties of commercial drinking water (Sachets and bottles) in Chennai were studied. The results indicated that all physico-chemical parameters (pH, BOD, COD, chloride and fluoride) were within the permissible limits of WHO, but microbiological examination of the samples indicated contamination of drinking water posing serious problems to human health.- Physico-Chemical Parameters and Microbial Identification of Flavour Effluent
