Fierce competition in the banking industry in India has compelled the banks to be creative and innovative by offering value added services. In an attempt to cater to the ever increasing consumer expectations and demand, the banking industry has adopted mobile banking to offer banking services at the convenience and comfort of its customers. Mobile banking in India is still at a nascent stage. At the same time, many service providers are making substantial investments to take advantage of the business opportunities offered by wireless technology. So there is a need to understand the bank customers' acceptance of this service and to examine the factors affecting their intentions to use mobile banking. But, none of the researches contributes to compare the mobile banking services in public and private sector banks. This study was undertaken to understand the difference in customer perception regarding mobile banking services provided by public and private sector banks and to predict the relationship of usage of mobile banking services with its determinants separately in both public and private sector banks. Regression Analysis and Anova were used for data analysis.Keywords

Online shopping is the process whereby consumers directly buy goods or services from a seller in real-time, without an intermediary service, over the Internet. Retailers, real estate developers, and urban planners are interested in the geographic distribution of online buyers. Hence, this study was undertaken to compare the perception of customers of India and USA regarding online shopping. 250 respondents were approached from different cities of India and USA. The respondents were asked to give the online responses for the designed questionnaire in Google doc. The results of online survey were analyzed using t-test for the different factors contributing to online shopping. A significant difference was observed for the product constituent factor, while no significant difference was observed for all other factors related to consumer perception of India and USA related to online shopping. ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems are configurable information system packages that integrate several business functions into a single system with a shared database. It contains selectable software modules that address a wide range of operational activities in the firm, such as accounting and finance, human resources, manufacturing, sales, and distribution. Enterprise systems represent an important technology investment option for operations managers, and have been acclaimed in the practitioner and academic literature for their potential to improve business performance. This study is an attempt to understand the effect of ERP on internal processes of an organisation. Paired T-test was used to compare the perception of users of ERP before and after ERP installation.Keywords

Today, a greater number of electronic resources are available for retrieving information but locating relevant information in a timely manner is critical for teaching profession. Electronic books (eBooks) are one way to enhance the digital library with global 24-hours-a-day and 7-days-a-week access to easy, quick, and effective information. During the last decade, libraries and publishers have made a successful move in providing online journals and database. But, the perspective of teaching professionals and academicians on e-books is unrevealed. Electronic textbooks and reading devices had to improve teaching professionals learning experience, in order to be effective. The study was undertaken to investigate the extent of usage and acceptability of e-books from teaching professionals perspective. This study is also undertaken to examine the difference in perception of usage of e-books on the basis of teaching professionals of varied discipline of management courses. This study is based on the primary data collected from 150 respondents in Indore city. Results of this study will be beneficial to authors/ publishers uploading their e-books.Keywords

ERP is a new generation of software which provides internal and external agencies real-time access to the systems data. But, ERP projects always contain a high level of risk and uncertainty. The purchase of ERP software is a high-expenditure activity that consumes a significant portion of the capital budget. A wrong ERP project selection would either fail the project or weaken the system to an adverse impact on the company's performance.This paper focuses on effect of ERP on organizational performance. Balance Score Card (BSC) model is used as a basis for measuring different parameters of organizational performance. Results showed that ERP significantly affects the over-all organizational performance.

e-Taxation is a system for submitting tax documents to the Internal Revenue Service through the internet or direct portal, usually without any paper documents. The overall aim of e-taxation is to replace cumbersome manual and bureaucratic service systems with collaborative, efficient, process-driven and secure online delivery. Cutting edge technologies have made solutions more user-friendly in terms of ease-of-use. Despite the rapid adoption of e- tax filing in many countries, researchers have argued that there might be differences in the perception of people belonging to different professions. The study first emphasises on factors within the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) that effects the adoption of e-taxation. Then, it focuses on understanding differences in the perception of people belonging to different professions towards e-taxation. Information technology has brought about a revolution in the banking industry. Availability of technology such as ICT as well as the increase in the competition in financial services have compelled banking sector to reconsider improving their operational efficiency and marketing strategies. This paper is an attempt to identify the impact of various IT based services offered by public and private sector banks on customers. Using questionnaire method , the study investigates factors that have framed perceptions of customers on IT based services offered by both types of banks. Then, Anova tests are carried out to find whether or not perceptions of customers on two groups of banks i.e. public and private banks for providing IT based services are significantly different. Anova tests are also generated on gender bias of perceptions of the male/female group of customers on the provision of IT based services and levels significance have been listed. This study can be helpful to planners, policy makers, bankers and those who are interested in the study of banking sector.Keywords

ERP is latest software meant for improving the business on the whole and its implementation methodologies are in the developing stage. ERP implementation involves amendments in business process and software configuration for better compatibility. Besides, ERP systems is not as much a technological exercise as it is an organizational revolution since it interacts with actors (users) of the organization. Hence, this study was undertaken that focuses on understanding the effect of different resources during ERP implementation on user performance. Data was collected from 67 manufacturing organizations that fulfilled the above criteria's and the sample of the study constituted of 750 individuals working in these manufacturing companies. Structural Equation Modeling through PLS software was used for the analysis. The study found that project management and hardware resources used during ERP implementation affect the employee performance of an organization.Keywords

Competition has compelled the banks to be creative and innovative by offering value added services. In an attempt to provide value added services, the banking industry have changed from paper-based banking solutions provider to the latest of the technologies like online banking, mobilebanking, etc. to offer services at the convenience and comfort of its customers. Mobile banking helps the customer to connect to a bank via a mobile device such as cell phone, smartphone or personal digital assistant. The study was undertaken to know the role of gender in determining the satisfaction with factors of mobile banking services. This study uses t-test for determining the influence of gender on mobile banking services offered by banks. Regression analysis was also used to predict the role of 12 independent variables on the satisfaction with mobile banking services related to male and female customers. The study found that 3 factors namely guidance and support, user controllable and usefulness influenced the satisfaction related to mobile banking services for both the genders while flexibility influenced only the male customer.Keywords

Organisations are facing stiff market and other external pulls and pushes, thus HR will become vital source for managing future challenges. HRIS is an information system that makes use of computers to monitor, control, and influence the movement of human beings from the time they indicate their intention to join an organisation till the time they separate from it. The purpose of the HRIS is to provide service, in the form of accurate and timely information, to the clients of the system. As there are a variety of potential users of HR information, it may be used for strategic, tactical, and operational decision making (e.g., to plan for needed professionals in a merger); to avoid litigation (e.g., to identify discrimination problems in hiring); to evaluate programmes, policies, or practices (e.g., to evaluate the effectiveness of a training programme); and/or to support daily operations (e.g., to help managers monitor time and attendance of their professionals). However, in order to maximise HRIS success, researchers and practitioners have to know more about its underlying drivers. The study is undertaken looking to the importance of HRIS in the organisations. The paper identifies the factors of HRIS as perceived by professional users. This study is also an attempt to study the impact of designation on identified factors of Human Resource Information System (HRIS). The results of this research will increase researcher's comprehension on difference in factors that influence effectiveness of senior and middle-level professionals.Keywords

India is becoming one of the fastest growing banking markets in world due to various financial sector reforms, growth in the economy, rising foreign investments, favourable regulatory climate etc. This study evaluates the quality of service of public and private banks in the city of Indore from the perspective of the customer on the basis of framework of factors considered in early study of the public and private sector banks. Results of the pilot study explored eight factors namely security, empathy, services, and reliability, responsive, tangibles, accessible, considerate. Factors identified were further analyzed by applying Analysis of Variance (Anova). For measuring Service quality scale of SERVQUAL (as proposed by Chase, et al., 2001) was slightly modified and the target groups were administered with a structured questionnaire containing 22 quality items. The implication of this study is to highlight the importance of improving the service quality delivered by banking industry for the customer satisfaction.Keywords

Purpose: It is important to identify the characteristics of aspiring entrepreneurs and the variables that influence their entrepreneurial spirit so as to understand the similarities and differences between entrepreneurially oriented male and female students
Methodology: A primary survey was conducted amongst the students of business schools in central India. In this empirical study the perception of the students towards entrepreneurial intentions was studied on the basis of responses collected through a five point Likert scale questionnaire.
Findings: The pilot study had explored ten factors affecting the students' entrepreneurial intentions.The results of this study showed that there is no significant difference in the perception of students on the basis of gender towards entrepreneurship. Practical Implications: There is a significant scope for promoting entrepreneurship in the cities of central India. The respondents showed a high inclination to become entrepreneurs. Higher education authorities and policy makers can create more awareness of entrepreneurship as a possible career choice.
