Carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) pharmacological tool to produce liver damage in rats. Silymarin (100 mg/kg) and extract of Butea monosperma (shown to be hepatoprotective substances) prevented the CCl4 induced toxicity. Hydroalcholic extract of the stem bark of Butea Monosperma was evaluated for its hepatoprotective. This in vitro efficacy was reinforced by a significant dose dependent hepatoprotection (at 100 mg/kg and 200mg/kg dose) by decreasing the activity of serum enzymes, bilirubin, and lipid peroxidation while it significantly increased the reduced Glutathione levels of tissue in a dose dependant manner. The Hepatoprotective activities of the extract are being comparable to standards Silymarin. The results obtained in the present study indicate that stem bark extract of Butea Monosperma is a potential source of natural hepatoprotective. The hepatoprotective property may be attributed to the antioxidant potential and the phytochemical constituents of the plant. The present study justifies the claim of the native practitioner that the decoction of the plant is useful in treating jaundice and find out the clinical efficacy of the Butea Monosperma. Keywords

Review of Professional Management- A Journal of New Delhi Institute of Management, Vol 3, No 1 (2005), Pagination: 91-97Abstract
Human development is one of the fundamental quests of all branches of social sciences. Economics and management are not exceptions to this. In the evolution of business management thoughts, attention has moved upward from profit maximization to value maximization. Focus has also shifted from shareholder returns to customer satisfaction. Moving ahead in this direction, now business community and academia are equivocal about society as a whole to be of concern to corporate world. One of the inherent assumptions behind this societal perspective is that human development involves both individual development and social development. Present study is aimed to establish the linkage between individual development and social development in the domain of business management. Along with shareholders and customers, employees, government and society have been considered as stakeholder to the business organizations. Systems approach in management has brought this stakeholders perspective prominent in this field. As a result corporate social responsibilities have gained attention and prominence in literature of economics and management. Social development is integral part of corporate social responsibility. In Indian psycho-philosophic literature 'Loksangrah' as a philosophical construct falls parallel to the notion of social development and sharing of wealth. It is discussed as a main conceptual anchor in the present study. This study is also aimed to find out the world view maintained in Indian scripture and it is hypothesized that world view is an antecedent of human life preferences and human action. As a conclusion author links individual "world view' and 'self concept' for practicing the Moksangrah' i.e. social development by the business organizations.- Dandruff and Chemo-Antidandruff Agents

Dandruff is often seen in the primary care setting as well as in the dermatology field. In this article, we review the mostly used drugs for treating dandruff and compare their efficacy in eradicating the symptoms of dryness and flaking of the scalp, along with providing relief of associated pruritus. Examples of such agents include keratolytics, regulators of keratinization, antimicrobials, and naturopathic therapies. We examine their mechanisms of action and their efficacy in treating dandruff. Keywords

Lesser number of promotion opportunities in the higher echelons of hierarchy often leads to discontentment which often paves way for premature retirement of the officer. Camaraderie starts missing among officers as well as Personel Below Officers Bank (PBOR)s Emotional intelligence of higher authorities with appropriate soft skills becomes pertinent at this crucial juncture as lack of it leads to negated energy. The research paper measures emotional intelligence in air force officers and focuses on its importance. The sample size included 200 personnel [150 officers +50 airmen] of different ranks. The methodology used was interview, observation and questionnaire adapted from Hendrie Weisinger 'Emotional Intelligence at Work' (San Francisco; jossey-bass, 1998) pp 214-215. Out of 300 questionnaires distributed 200 were returned duly filled between the month from October to December 2015. Data was analyzed using ANNOVA and F test. The results were quite shocking as the graph portrayed a clear picture of rising EI in officers with promotions but downturn with those who missed it. The research paper analyses causes for u turn of EI even after serving for 20 year in service and proposes recommendations based on analysis of primary and secondary data. Keywords

Ideology of sustainable development is based upon education not as an end result but as a beginning by nurturing appropriate life skills which leads to harness both the present and future demands (Nsaminang 2007). Though India is positioned at 60th rank in Global Innovation Index report (2017) unfortunately over 90% of Indian start-ups fail within the first five year since their inception. (Report of IBM NYSE: IBM 2017). This research paper attempts to explain the role of education, family support and societal culture in harnessing life skills which act as mediator variable for the growth of entrepreneurship. The paper uses descriptive research design by administrating questionnaire to 200 B. Tech and MBA final year students of Hyderabad between September-November 2017. Respondents opine that education in schools and colleges are not providing requisite skills sets and exposure for entrepreneurship. Life skills grooming through education are still in nascent stage as rote learning passive mode pedagogy is followed. Further family and society significantly influences student’s choice to venture into entrepreneurship. Keywords

Shared leadership is a phenomenon which is critical for the organizations especially in the context of organizations shifting to team-based structures. The current study examines the relationship between emotional intelligence of team members and degree of shared leadership in teams. The study also investigates the moderating role of task interdependence on this relationship. Data was collected from 244 respondents who were part of 40 teams. The study shows that there is a positive relationship between emotional intelligence and shared leadership and that this relationship is moderated by the level of task interdependence. This research extends the literature of shared leadership by explaining antecedents and moderating conditions to shared leadership. Keywords

This paper presents a critical and comprehensive review of a few organizational dysfunctional behaviors while highlighting their antecedents, typology, and implications. The paper also discusses key insights from the existing literature on two hidden dysfunctional states and three important causes of organizational dysfunctional behaviors. Apart from the discussion on existing literature, the process of Organizational Fear, Loneliness, and Organizational Retaliatory Behaviors (ORBs) has been synthesized and explained.References

Given the ever-rising complexity and uncertainty, creative problem solving (CPS) is critical for organizations. The current study examines the relationship of embodied self-regulation (ESR) and self-transcendence (ST) with CPS. It also investigates how the Yogabased Practices (YBP), a holistic intervention, impact ESR and ST. To test the hypotheses, two studies were conducted with a sample of respondents having prior professional experience enrolled in a management program. First study supported the theoretical model of ESR and ST as antecedents of CPS, and second study indicated the positive impact of YBP on ESR and ST, respectively. This research extends the literature on CPS training and discusses the theoretical and managerial implications. Keywords
