The purpose of the present study was to compare the self-concept of adolescent boys and girls. For this research work, the incidental purposive sampling techniques will be used for the selection of the subjects. In all there will be 120 Adolescent of urban area ofAjmer city, Rajasthan, in which 60 boys and 60 girls were selected. Adolescent's age limit was 12 to 18 years old. The Self-concept Questionnaire developed by Kumar Saraswat was used. Results indicated that there is significant difference between overall self-concept of adolescents boys and girls. But when we compare the different dimension of self-concept, adolescents boys have better self-concept in physical, social, temperamental and moral self-concept as compared to adolescents girls. Whereas in educational and intellectual dimension both have awareness of their studies, career & educational activities and awareness of their intelligence to solve the problems come in daily life and take judgment according to it.Keywords

The purpose of this study was to compare the impact of high and low parental expectations on the self-concept of adolescent. The data was collected on 120 families each consisting of a mother, a father and a child in late adolescents (12 to 18 years). The Parental Expectation Scale developed by Asha Kinra and Sunil Kumar Agrahari and Self-Concept Questionnaire developed by Raj Kumar Saraswat were used. Results indicated that there was a significant difference between parental expectations and adolescent's self-concept, high parental expectations have developed low self-concept among adolescents and low parental expectations have developed high self-concept. High expectation of parents will be reason of low self-concept of adolescents means the parents unrealistic expectation can lead anxiety, stress & discouragement to achieve their full potential. Low expectation of parents will be reason of high self-concept of adolescents' means when adolescents perceive one self and their abilities in support of parents and guidance & counseling is better predictor to achieve success.Keywords

The aim of this study was to find out role of parental involvement in personality traits of adolescents. For this 80 male students were taken as sample. Out of which 40 students are selected where parents are more involved and 40 students were selected where parents are less involved. The age group of the sample was 16 to 20 years. A self- administered questionnaire was used to find out the level of involvement of parents and The Hindi adaptation of high school personality questionnaire prepared by Kapoor and Mehrotra was used to measure the personality traits of the adolescents. For statistic analysis Mean, SD and 'f was calculated. Result revealed there is significance difference between personality traits of adolescents when their parents are more or less involved in their parenting. In other word parents involvement play a important role in their children's personality development.Keywords

The aim of the present study was to compare the emotional intelligence between boys and girls ofB.Ed. Special Education students. The incidental purposive sampling techniques will be used to the selection of*the subjects in this research work. In all there will be lOOStudents of Jaipur city, Rajasthan, in which 50 boys and 50 girls were selected. All students are graduate or postgraduate. Emotional Intelligence Scale was developed by Hyde, Pethe, and Dhar was used. Results revealed that there is significant difference between emotional intelligence ofB.Ed. Special Education Students boys and girls. But girls ofB.Ed. Special Education students have better level of emotional intelligence than boys ofB.Ed. Special Education students. When we compare the different dimension of emotional intelligence girls have better self-awareness, empathy, managing relations, integrity, self-development and altruistic behavior than boys. But on other hand on the dimension of emotional intelligence in self-motivation, emotional stability, value orientation and commitment dimension both boys and girls have similar level of emotional intelligence. The likely reason for this result may be girls have more tolerance and patience as compared to male who can think about their emotions and take decisions, because of biological difference which exists between boys and girls.Keywords
