A belt of volcano-sedimentary formations extending from the south-western margin of the area towards ENE along the Son valley has been traced on the LANDSAT imageries. These formations, which are considered to be the homotaxial equivalents of the 'Bijawar Series' occurring south of the Bundelkhand granite massif, rest on granite gneiss in the central and eastern parts of the area and are overlain towards north and south by the members of the Vindhyan and Gondwana Supergroups respectively. The significant litho-stratigraphic, structural and metamorphic features of the belt of volcano-sedimentary formations suggest that it may be classified as a 'Greenstone belt'.
Probable occurrence of the volcano-sedimentary formations and sub-crustal basic rocks beneath the Vindhyan and Gondwana Formations have been inferred in certain sections based on the interpretation of Bouguer gravity and airborne magnetic anomaly data.

An elongated linear belt of distinct meta-volcanic and sedimentary assemblage of low-grade metamorphism and tight folding in the Son Valley are described. The contact between the two tectonic units is marked by intense overthrusting and shear deformation. Its persistent regional trend suggests some fundamental fracture pattern across the Precambrian shield. The metavolcanic and sedimentary assemblages are characteristic of Precambrian greenstone belt in Son Valley. Keywords

The study attempts to look into the status of financial literacy in the unorganized sector of Purba Medinipur district of West Bengal. The focus is to identify any degree of association between the different variables that represent demographic factors and the level of financial literacy. For having a heterogeneous sample representing different parts of the district, multistage sampling method has been applied. First, five blocks of Purba Medinipur district have been chosen, following which one village has been chosen from each of them. Then, ten respondents from each village have been interviewed with the help of a questionnaire. Fisher's Exact Test is used to examine the significance of the association between the two kinds of classification as the sample sizes are small. Keywords

There are many types of violence that could be make human's life miserable. On those types of violence one of the most painful is “Intimate Partner Violence” (IPV). It could be happened with both men and women. In this type of violence intimate partner becomes violent and perform violent acts against their associates. IPV also happened in same sex partnerships. We are trying to compare the IPV situation among the different states in India as well as between two countries “India” and “Bolivia” by using statistical Quality Control chart technique (SQC chart technique). In this paper we draw graphs for various states of India as well as for the country Bolivia to get a clear idea about the IPV.Keywords

The study attempts to explore the effect of board independence, as an important corporate governance parameter, on the sustainability disclosures practices of 38 listed Indian companies during the period of 2013-17. Sustainability performance is measured with the help of content analysis considering Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) indicators in three major parameters, such as, social, economic and environmental. Using panel data regression analysis, the study finds a significant positive relationship between board independence and the economic parameter of sustainability disclosure. Finally, based on the findings, the study recommends the Indian corporate establishments to ensure independent board of directors for better sustainability performance. As a part of future research directions, the study thinks it is important to identify the factors that actually impact the other two measures of sustainability performance of Indian companies. Keywords
