Students are young and their behavior can reflect the health status of the society they are going to live in the coming years. Lifestyle reflects social values, attitudes and activities of a person. Personal health is a function of lifestyle and behavior, which can be altered through medical device. The unhealthy lifestyle, common in modern societies, accounts for a high number of mortalities secondary to preventable diseases. The aim of the current study was to explore the students’ lifestyle in order to formulate policies and educational and behavioral programs to promote their overall wellbeing. Data were collected by mailed questionnaires in 2011 Jan–March from a Local sample of Bhilai City, State-Chhattisgarh having age group of , 18-21 years old. In this, only the 18 year old & above considered, however, there are no means to assess representativeness according to college performance. It has been found that in health-related surveys the response rate is lower in young boy than in young girl, and that reluctance to respond is associated with negative health behavior and poor college performance. If active responding were selective in that direction also here, the associations found would be weak as compared to the situation where everyone would have responded. We have found that addiction of pan was more in college A as compared to college B, C, and D and also B+ blood group of college A was more as compared to college B,C and D. Disease history of cancer in college C was more as compared to college A and B.Keywords

Plant extracts continues the numerous searches for more effective drugs of plant origin which are less toxic and available for low socio-economic population in the treatment of diseases caused by pathogenic bacteria. The potential for developing antibacterial from higher plants appears rewarding as it will result to the development of a phytomedicine to act against microbes. The Azadirachta indica, Ocimum sanctum and Phyllanthus emblica extracts were tested for antibacterial activity by spread plate method against four pathogens Escherichia. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis and Nessieria flavescenes,. It was found that gram negative bacteria were largely inhibited by the extract of amlathan that of neem and tulsi. The zone of inhibition was measured which showed that extract of amla was of high antibacterial activity as compared to meem and tulsi. Methanol extracts were more active than the aqueous extract against all the bacteria. The zones of inhibition were ranging from 1- 3.5 cm in diameter. The highest zone of inhibitions (3.5cm) was noted in methanol extract of P. emblica against S. aureus. The highest yield of methanolic extract was found in Azadiracta indica (29.08%). The extract of Ocimum sanctum and Phyllanthus emblica were most effective against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus.

The effect of continuous application of fertilizers and amendments on wheat yield and nutrients in an acid Alfisol during rabi (2018-19) was evaluated in an ongoing long-term field experiment initiated in 1972 at the research farm of the Department of Soil Science, CSK HPKV, Palampur.The soil of the experimental area was acidic (pH 5.8), silt loam in texture and classified taxonomically as “Typic Hapludalf”. The highest productivity of wheat was recorded in the treatment comprising 100% NPK + FYM and was statistically at par with treatment receiving 100% NPK with lime. Continuous sole application of N resulted in zero yield. The significantly superior available N and K were registered in treatment receiving 100% NPK + FYM. However, the highest available P was recorded in treatment where NPK at 150 per cent of the recommended dose were applied. The Zn application along with 100% NPK registered the highest value (4.19 mg kg-1) of DTPA extractable Zn and application of 100% NPK + FYM recorded the highest value of DTPA extractable Fe, Cu, and Mn (36.8, 2.26, and 39.65 mg kg-1, respectively). Overall, 100% NPK+ FYM was found to be the best treatment to increase the wheat productivity and maintain nutrients status in the soil on long-term basis.Keywords

Decentralised Finance or DeFi has emerged as a transformative and disruptive force within the financial industry, offering innovative financial services powered by blockchain technology and smart contracts. This paper provides in-depth knowledge of DeFi, its evolution, applications, and their adoption. It identifies the opportunities brought about by DeFi, comparing it with the traditional CeFi (Centralized Financial) system, including financial inclusion, transparency, and programmable money. It highlights the potential of applications of DeFi for decentralized lending, decentralized exchanges, and yield farming as innovative and promising avenues within the DeFi space. A SWOT analysis comparing DeFi and CeFi was performed to delve into the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats associated with DeFi. This study explored the intricate challenges and inherent risks involved in the adoption of DeFi applications, offering insights into the hype, fear, and apprehensions among governments and the masses regarding its adoption. The findings offer a nuanced understanding of the current state of DeFi, providing valuable insights for researchers, policymakers, and industry practitioners.Keywords
