Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS) is a chronic inflammatory disorder of the musculoskeletal system with gradually increasing axial stiffness and restriction in movement. It leads to pain, reduced spinal&joint mobility and limitations in physical functioning. Timely identification of disease and a combination of pharmacotherapy as well as rehabilitation helps combat the pain and disability. A case report is presented of an AS patient with all characteristic features.Keywords

Objective
This study was done to compare the efficacy of post-isometric relaxation (PIR) along with ultrasound and massage versus integrated neuromuscular ischaemic technique (INIT) along with ultrasound and massage in the treatment of trigger point pain of the upper trapezius muscle.
Method
30 subjects having trigger points in the upper trapezius muscle both males and females in the age-group of 18-35 years were divided into two groups: subjects in group A (n=15) were treated with PIR, massage and ultrasound and Group B (n= 15) were treated with INIT, massage and ultrasound. The VAS scores for pain, side-flexion ROM (opposite side of pain) and NPNPQ were used to assess the improvements.
Results
There was statistically significant difference in VAS scores (p < 0.05), Neck side-flexion ROM (opposite side) and NPNPQ scores (p < 0.05) in both Group A&Group B. This indicates that subjects with trigger points in the upper trapezius muscle had significant reduction in pain, improvement in ROM and reduction in scores of NPNPQ. Between the groups there was no significant improvement (p > 0.05). Within group analysis shows that both groups had significant improvement in the variables but there was no significant change between the groups.
Conclusion
Both treatment techniques were highly effective in the treatment of trigger point pain in the upper trapezius muscle.

The aim of the present study is to examine the subjective well being among employed women and house wives of Aligarh region. The sample comprised of 60 respondents, 20 employed women and 20 housewives. It was hypothesized that there is no difference between subjective well-being of employed women and housewives. The subjective well being of the employed women and housewives was assessed by Flourishing Scale developed by Diener and Diener (2009). t-test was employed to analyse the data. Results showed significantly higher scores of subjective well being in employed women as compared to the housewives. Thus, the results indicate a significant difference between the both groups.Keywords

An experiment with nine orchard floor management practices viz., legume intercropping (soybean-peas), turmeric intercropping, fodder intercropping (pearl millet-oats), sod culture (setaria grass), glyphosate, paraquat, weed mulch, manual weeding and weedy check was carried out at Palampur during kharif 2018 to rabi 2019-20 to study their effect on fruit quality and yield of peach. Highest weed population was recorded in weedy check in all the months and lowest weed count was observed in legume intercropping during both the years. Legume intercropping resulted in highest peach yield and quality over rest of the treatments and lowest fruit yield per tree was recorded under weedy check during both the years of study. Uninterrupted growth of weeds reduced the fruit yield by 41.13 per cent during 2019 and by 50.84 per cent during 2020. No phytotoxicity of any herbicide tested (pendimethalin, quizalofop and chlorimuron ethyl to intercrops and directed application of glyphosate and paraquat) was recorded on peach indicating that all the herbicides used were safe for managing weeds in peach orchard.Keywords
