Gianotti - Crosti syndrome or papular acrodermatitis of childhood is a distinctive, self-limiting dermatosis of childhood characterised by abrupt onset of non-pruritic lichenoid papules on the face, buttocks and extremities with mild constitutional symptoms and acute, usually anicteric hepatitis. We report a one and half year old boy who presented to us with multiple pink coloured papules that was present over the both upper and lower limbs, with involvement of the palms and soles and also involvement of the trunk and face to a lesser extent. The lesions were of sudden onset and appeared within a few days of the DPT vaccination and were still progressing at the time of presentation. Since the disease has been very rarely associated with vaccination we are reporting this case.Keywords

Inhibins have been implicated in the control of spermatogenesis by exerting negative feedback regulation of pituitary FSH release. In addition, locally produced inhibins play an important role in paracrine regulation of testicular function. The recent availability of speciflc and sensitive assays for different types of inhibin and activin heralds a new phase in our understanding of physiology and pathophysiology of these proteins. The identification and cloning of the inhibin receptor(s) are actively pursued, but the understanding of mechanism of inhibin action has been relatively incomplete. In recent years a number of male reproductive functions have been correlated with circulating inhibin B level. At the same time, several reports are also described questioning the importance of inhibin B as a reliable marker of male fertility. This report summarizes the physiological roles of inhibin in male reproduction, focusing on clinical relevance of these roles and possible future application in clinical practice.Keywords

A Bloom filter is a simple space-efficient randomized data structure for representing a set in order to support network and database query systems. Although Bloom filters were invented in the 1970's and have been heavily used in database applications, they have only recently received widespread attention in the networking literature. Software applications frequently fail to identify so many signatures through comparisons at very high speeds. We introduce a low power bloom filter architectures which is space and power effective in hardware platforms. Instead of working on programming phase or technology, our work concentrated on look up techniques of Bloom filters. We have chosen better hash function to be utilized in hardware applications of Bloom filter by FPGA implementation. Power analysis shows that decrement in number of hash functions per stage results in power gain.Keywords

Remediation of sites polluted with toxic metals is mainly challenging, unlike organic compounds, metals cannot be degraded and the cleanup regularly requires their removal. However, this energy-intensive approach can be prohibitively luxurious. In addition, removing process often employs strict physicochemical agents which can dramatically inhibit soil fertility with subsequent negative impacts on the ecosystem. Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) affords a gorgeous system to advance plant-based environmental clean-up. The experimental plants black gram were raised in pots, the pot containing 2 kg of soil with AMF various levels of cadmium chloride (CdCl2) (control, 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 mg/kg soil). Five replicates were maintained for each level. Morphological parameters like ischolar_main and shoot length, nodule number, total leaf area and dry weight of ischolar_main and shoot. The nutrient content of TN, P, K, Ca, Mg, Zn, Co, Fe and Mn of black gram (Vigna mungo L.) were recorded in 30th DAS of plants. The Cadmium chloride (CdCl2) treatment at all levels decreased the various growth, and nutrient contents of black gram leaves. The AMF with (CdCl2) treatments plants increased all the parameters. AM-fungi have an important role in promotion of biological and chemical properties of plants under (CdCl2) stressed environment.Keywords

Several approaches have been introduced in literature for active noise control (ANC) systems. Since FxLMS algorithm appears to be the best choice as a controller filter, researchers tend to improve performance of ANC systems by enhancing and modifying this algorithm. In this paper, the existing FxLMS algorithm is modified which provides a new structure for improving the noise reduction and convergence rate. Here the proposed method uses two variable step sizes, one for control filter and another for modelling filter. The control filter step size is varied based on the secondary path threshold signal ˆδλ. The modelling filter step size is varied based on error signal f (n) . It is shown that in the proposed method ANC system noise reduction rate and convergence rate are improved dynamically than the FxLMS variable step size methods. The computer simulations results indicate effectiveness of the proposed method.Keywords

Design of braking system is an important phase in the development of an automobile. During braking, disc brakes accumulate heat energy and high thermal gradients which leads to reduced functionality. This heat has to be dissipated for efficient functioning of brakes. In this paper, a novel design for brake is developed using Solid Works tool. This model aims at maximum dissipation of heat by increasing surface area. A thermal flux analysis of the new model is done to confirm this achievement. A comparative study of other designs of ventilated discs and a plane rotor disc is also done. The calculation and verification of braking force is followed in designing the disc rotor. The main objective is to generate more braking force so as to maximize efficiency. The analyses are done in ANSYS to study and understand the heat flux and temperature that are formed in the disc rotor.Keywords
