The present study was to isolate and identify antimicrobial activity producing actinomycetes strains from marine habitat, to find out antibacterial efficiency against the common human pathogens. Marine actinomycetes were isolated from salt pan region of Kodiakarai, Nagapattinam [District].Out of 20 isolated actinomycetes 10 were identified and selected for antibacterial activity. Out of 10 dominant actinomycete species Streptoverticillium album was highly dominant and showed the best level of antibacterial activity against three human pathogens, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pheumoniae and Escherichia coli. The isolation, characterization and the study on actinomycetes can be useful in the discovery of antibiotics and also confirmed by molecular characterization. Keywords

Energy demand is an existing problem for the developing country like India. The energy generation plays a vital role in the economic growth of the country. India is the third largest power generator and the third largest power consumer in the world, energy demand and scarcity rules the country. Energy audit and conservation can be the best solution for the raising energy demand. This project describes the energy audit methodology for the organization. Nowadays in the new trends of power market, it is a very difficult task to satisfy the power balance concepts even though the consumers are able to pay their costly demands. So the energy conservation and energy management concepts are necessary for the flexible utilities. The energy audit is a process to identify the facilities from different areas. An energy auditing system inspects and analyses the flow of energy to cut back energy consumption while not affecting the number and quality of productions undesirably. Energy monitoring is one of the important applications arising from research in Internet of Things. Suggesting the methods which reduce the energy consumption and cost of utilization. Methods such as type of lamps and fans can be used to reduce the consumption of energy. Also provides Energy monitoring system for classroom using Internet of Things. The system provides the periodic energy consumption data of the loads in the class room.

Ophthalmic exercise is massage method that aims at promoting students awareness of eye production, improving blood circulation and relaxing muscles in ocular region, reducing the eye strain of students with myopia. The aim of the study to identify the effect of ophthalmic exercise among students with myopia at selected college Coimbatore. Quasi experimental one group pretest and post test research design was adopted in this study. The samples were selected using Non probability purposive sampling technique. Among 35 samples, 23 samples were Iyear, four samples were IIyear and eight samples were III year. The level of knowledge among students with myopia was assessed using self structured questionnaire before and after ophthalmic exercise. Ophthalmic exercise were demonstrated by using flashcard and slide projector and students continued to practice the exercises for 15 minutes twice a day for one week. The duration of exercise was 20 minutes. The level of eye strain was assessed by using asthenopic symptoms scale before and after intervention. It was identified that the mean level of knowledge among students with myopia during pre test and post test was 13.6 and 16.08 respectively with the standard deviation of pre test and post test was 0.64 and 1.59 respectively. The calculated ‘t ’ value 10.75 was greater than the table value 1.96 at 0.05 level of significance. It was identified that the mean level of eye strain among students during pretest and post test was 4.08 and 2 respectively with a standard deviation of pre test and post test was 2.01 and 1.19 respectively. The calculated ‘t’ value 5.94 was greater than the table value 1.96 at 0.001 Level of significance. Hence it was concluded that ophthalmic exercises is an effective intervention in reducing the level of eye strain among students with myopia. Keywords
