In this paper, a Non uniform DFT-spread constellation reforming method is proposed for reduction of peak power to average power ratio (PAPR) in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system. The key idea of the proposed method is to generate virtually 3-PSK (V3PSK) by reforming quadrature phase shift keying modulation (QPSK). In this reforming modulation constellation point arranged in such way that one of the symbol is comes at origin to get benefit of DFT spreading. When the virtual QPSK constellation is employed with the conventional selected mapping (C-SLM) methods in OFDM systems, called as the V-SLM methods in this paper, Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the virtual QPSK could reduce PAPR and also it is less complex than the conventional SLM methods.

Facial expressions are form of non verbal communication which conveys the emotional state/ mood of a person. Emotions are integral part of human personality. Scientists have established that emotions can play pivotal role in rational intelligence (memory, decision making etc) and social intelligence (Communication, adaption etc). Study of emotions of any person can be interlinked with learning capabilities, behavioral aspect of that person. Efficient monitoring of human emotional states may provide important and useful medical information with diagnostic value which can be very useful for clinical practices.
Existing health care systems do not take in to account the emotional state of the patients while treating them but potential of emotional aspects of health can be incorporated in disease prevention, therapy and rehabilitation.
Useful outcomes of the proposed system add value to clinical practices, health care systems and services.
This paper is basically literature survey paper revealing the work done so far in the area of emotion recognition through facial expression recognition with applicability in healthcare domain.

Today the use of computers for handling image data in the healthcare field is growing. The CT and MR scan are the modern image generating techniques. Large amount of data is produced by these techniques. Due to the larger size, these images require a large storage space. This may be bottleneck of the system for the transmitting images over a channel with limited bandwidth especially for rural area. It is there for necessary to compress these medical images. Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine is the most comprehensive version of an imaging communications standard which is worldwide accepted in medical field. This paper looks into the technological issues that are of prime concern in the growth of telemedicine services and presents one of the efficient ways to compress the medical images. Keywords
