Aim: This paper examined the relationship between social adjustment problems and irrational beliefs in cancer patients. Background: Previous studies have showed significant negative relationship between Social adjustment problems and irrational beliefs in cancer patients. Method: A correlation study was carried out with a random sample contained of 108 (51 males and 56 females) who were referred to the Shahidzade hospital of Behbahan in Iran. Adjustment Inventory (BAI) and Shortened General Attitude and Belief Scale (Lindner et al., 1999) carried out on the group sample and data was analyzed by Pearson correlation and two independent samples't' test. Results and Conclusion: Current investigation suggested that there is a significant negative relationship between Social adjustment problems and irrational beliefs in cancer patients. Moreover, there is no significant difference between males and females in these variables. With regard to mentioned results, the average scores of patients with cancer are more than normal range and it is recommended that these groups of patients should be prepared in counseling and interventional class's foe irrational beliefs therapy.Keywords
