Abstract

The main purpose of this research was to find out the mean difference between primary teachers in mental health and psychological happiness. The total sample consisted 80 teachers (male and female) were taken. The research tool for mental health was measured by Bhatt and Geeda (1992), Psychological happiness was measured by Psychological Happiness Inventory(Bhogle & Jayprakash, 1995). t-test was applied to check the significance of Mental Health and Psychological Happiness in Private Teacher's to check the corelation method is used. Results revealed that significant difference in Mental health and Psychological happiness with respect to both male and female teachers on mental health and psychological happiness. While, the co-relation between mental health and psychological happiness reveals 0.71% high positive co-relation.

Abstract

The emotional maturity predicts one's ability to manage and monitor his or here emotions, to assess the emotional state of others and influence their opinions and behavior. Emotional maturity seems to be most profoundly influenced by the relationship, understanding and reactions. I have been observing that Diabetic persons have many problems at psychological level and their outlook towards life and its complications does not show positive response and also many a times they show less emotional maturity in various situations. This study is aimed to investigate the impact of Yoga on emotional maturity in Type-2 Diabetic persons together with the effect on Diabetes. Nine samples with average age of 51 years (N = 9) were selected for the study from a ten days' Yoga Shibir for Diabetes Prevention held at 'LIFE', Rajkot, organized by Saurashtra Medical & Educational Charitable Trust. Through questionnaire-method, samples have answered pre-test and post-test scale, made by Yashveer Singh and Mahesh Bhargava in English version, but I have used its Gujarati Version, Prepared by Yogesh Jogsan, Department of Psychology, Saurashtra University, Rajkot. Blood sugar level of all the subjects have been tested pathologically through 'GOD/POD Enzymatic Method' on the first and last day of the Shibir. The findings very effectively present a very good decrease in random blood sugar level (men 46.3 mg./dl), in fasting blood sugar level (mean 14.4 mg./dl.) and in post-prandial blood sugar level (mean 18.7 mg./dl). Computed t-value shows also a non-significant change, but we get noticeable improvements at the mean level which shows a need of Yoga for a long time. So, the study proposes that Yoga is great remedy to cure Diabetes as well as it is very beneficial to improve emotional maturity in the Diabetic persons.

Abstract

The main purpose of this research was to find out the mean difference of death anxiety before and after abortion in married and unmarried women. The total 60 women (30 unmarried and 30 married) were taken as a sample. The research tool for death anxiety was measured by Thakur (1983). T-test was applied to check the significance difference of Death Anxiety before and after abortion among married and unmarried women. Results revealed that significant difference in death anxiety before and after abortion among married and unmarried women. They both are feeling high death anxiety before abortion.

Abstract

The main purpose of this resarch was to find out the mean difference between infertility divorcee and criminal females in emotional maladjustment and psycho-physical stress. The total sample consisted 210 females were taken. The research tool for emotional maturity was measured by Bhargav and Singh (1998). Gujarati adaption by Jogsan (2006). While the tool for psycho physical stress were used which made by Maheshwary (2002). Here 'one way ANOVA' was applied to check the significant of emotional maladjustment and psycho-physical stress in females. To check correlation between emotional maladjustment and psycho-physical stress correlation method was used. Results revealed that not significant difference in factor of emotional maladjustment and psycho-physical stress in infertility, divorcee and criminal females.
